Thank you for this. Definitely Shining Force. I remember emulating this series and using some cheats to blow through the game. Great title.
God I feel old... I remember playing this on Genesis.
Sf2 was pretty outstanding
Me as well. Shining in the darkness was my gateway rpg. (Zelda doesn't count, I'm not sure why)
I spent hours replaying the same battles to maximize characters before promoting them.

Donald Trump fights wokeness in his own way: He simply falls asleep regularly in the middle of the day.
My favorite was when he fell asleep in the middle of a medical emergency for a health care executive. There's so many layers there that it would confuse even Shrek.
So, as Lindsay Ellis put it, there's already a war on basic human empathy.
It is led by the fascists in power in the US, but it is already a global cultural threat.
I mean, nowadays they openly say that empathy and compassion are weaknesses that should be abolished.

It used to be "political correctness". Everyone was trying to be politically correct. But then, some people decided not to bother and call it woke instead, as if deliberately being incorrect both morally and grammatically.
