- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

The only way they are gonna leaveis if they deem the risk to be greater than the reward. Chicagoland might just be the place that shows us how to tip the balance on that.

Trump is just begging for this, so he can justify his seizure of the National Guard and wage war against citizens. Pretty good distraction from Epstein too.
They're chasing a narrative that the cities are misbehaving and need daddy Trump to spank them. Nonviolent (but persistent) resistance is the only way to avoid that narrative.

My point isn't quite the same one you're responding to.
I'm saying that what we're seeing now is not what they're doing "anyway." Trump stretches his delusional reality as far as he can, but he cannot currently stretch it to the point he needs to actually institute martial law. We have to climb that ladder with him, and he's trying to tempt us as much as possible to do it. Don't take the bait.
He's going to just do all of that anyway.

That's not how it will play out, unfortunately. A sustained violent widespread resistance may work, as an insurgency to a now-or-soon-to-be established fascist regime.
But that isn't likely in the US. More likely you have pockets of violence that will be politicized for many times the harm compared to the benefit. And we've already seen our judiciary is spineless, and even the historically neutral judges will err on the side of not upsetting the right.
Just as the Supreme Court ruled they can target people based on race too. How convenient.
So couldn't you demand they display a badge if stopped? And failure to do so means they don't have authority to detain you?
In a fair and just world, I would think so. But I don’t think they care about what authority they actually have.
This is why everyone should walk around armed. Need to start passing out spears to protestors.
It was never about safety, just about hurting minorities. The GOP is very clear in their message; they have no idea what they're doing and need a group to blame. I guess don't walk around with a tan....
I wish the administration would focus on reducing crime and helping the economy. First step is to arrest donald trump and his goonsquad so we can start to recover from their dumpster fire.
