  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

In a move that drew harsh criticism from its own correspondent, CBS News abruptly removed a segment from Sunday’s episode of “60 Minutes” that was to feature the stories of Venezuelan men deported by the Trump administration to what the program called a “brutal” prison in El Salvador.

The episode was apparently distributed by mistake in Canada. Re-recording of it here

This headline greatly downplays what’s actually happening which is the consolidation and MAGAfication of American media. It has come down to a handful of billionaires running a propaganda syndicate for Trump. What once was siloed to Fox News has now spread to every information outlet.

And attacking+defunding the only remaining legitimate media, public media like PBS and NPR. Not that NPR has been doing that great with resisting the MAGAfication, unfortunately. I feel PBS has remained very reputable at least.

CBS is bending the knee. How is that working out for them?

They don't care; its about how their owners do, not CBS itself

Its been up and down on YouTube because CBS has lawyers sending takedown notices.

It's up here for now https://archive.org/details/60minutes-cecotsegment

Not to downplay what is going on at cecot, but there was literally nothing new in that video.

What the two guys who were interviewed said, and the footage...all old news.

We already know these things. Maybe some people don't know. Magas. But they aren't going to believe it anyway.

I was rather disappointed in the video segment.

There is not much there and I don't think it's strong enough to get people's attention.

They needed to compare it directly with other concentration camps. Talk about Geneva convention. Why these things are inhumane.

Because some people don't know.
