I thought the main hero killed all the aliens every time? Did she actually die in one of the movies?
This was literally a dream sequence in the movie.
I do think she dies in one of the later ones brought she’s brought back.
Yeah, she died in Alien 3, and then was cloned, with an alien still implanted in her (it came along with the cloning process, somehow?) in Alien Resurrection. The process also made her somewhat superhuman. Real odd entry in the series, but I liked it at the time.
Alien Resurrection was directed by Joss Whedon so it's... Special.

Any version other than theatrical of alien³ is really good.
Alien 3 hate is curious to me. I had it on VHS, back when you could only watch what you had on tape, so like all kids with limited movies they would get re- watched a lot, regardless of quality.
As a result, I can quote nearly as much of that movie as I can the first two (which, of course, are infinitely better).
So what I'm saying is I've got a soft spot for it. I'll also defend the characters, who were well acted and portrayed. The overall atmosphere of a hostile planet was also pretty well executed.
Killing off Hicks, Newt & Bishop was a terrible start, but if you overlook that massive narrative fuck up, what else do people really hate about it?

Assembly Cut of Alien3 is a solid movie. Far superior to both Resurrection and Romulus.
There is no "Aliens 3"
"Alien" is the 1st movie, "Aliens" is the 2nd, "Alien 3" is the 3rd (also stylized "Alien³")
