And is partly your fault, Joe.

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 47 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

A big part. A very big part. Like so many LAMF MAGATs these days. It's no consolation because despite the complaints the majority would do it all again in a heartbeat. They have not learned the most important lesson.

But still, I'll take it. Anything to speed up what must come sooner or later.

Supposedly Kamala was in Texas to do Rogan’s podcast right before the election, but at the last minute he turned her down so he could do a podcast with Trump.

He can be right sometimes while still being irrelevant to me.

Is that the one where Trump just literally never showed up for a rally and people just sort of left eventually?

Yes Joe people voted a NAZI into office so you get the Gestapo.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago

Yeah, but if a manly man like Joe and his chud listeners would have voted for a lady Democrat they would have all become soy boys or something.

They had no choice, the Democrats made them do this...

[–] dissentiate@lemmy.dbzer0.com 57 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Joe, you're a barely sentient potato. Trump LITERALLY told people, fucking repeatedly, that they were going to do mass deportations before he took office. Joe, in between tripping on freebased cat litter or whatever the fuck you're into these days, did you ever wonder HOW these deportations would have been enforced?

Pity for the the people who made the clearly unforgivable mistake of not being born as Aryan poster child in this fine country. They are being forced from their homes and lives because you voted for a group of ethnostate terrorists. Nothing about this is gentle, humane, or voluntary. You don't get to suddenly question jack-fucking-shit about their tactics like it's a new development; they were teabagging the media with details repeatedly for months on end while you glazed over Daddy coming home.

I look forward to the day you grow up, sober up, and then shut the fuck up once you realize you carried water for a fascist takeover.

[–] tgcoldrockn@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

They don't deserve that disrespect. Potatoes have improved many our lives.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

They saved that guy on Mars, too.

[–] egrets@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

For sure, but when he says the right things to disillusion a fraction of the supporter base, let's recognize that even if he is a part of the problem.

[–] JHRD1880@lemmy.world 40 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Remember when Rogan and all the other podcast bros were standing behind Trump when he won ?

Fuck off Rogan, you voted for this you piece of shit.

[–] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago

Fuck off Rogan, you voted for this you piece of shit.

he poisoned the minds of millions of idiots.

THANKS SPOTIFY!

[–] MushuChupacabra@lemmy.world 39 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Going to be?

As in, start being nazis?

[–] logicbomb@lemmy.world 17 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Rogan is a Nazi sympathizer and collaborator. Of course it will be hard for him to say anything against the man right now. Plus, with Rogan, it's always a possibility that he's just so stupid that he doesn't realize how far he's already gone and how much he's been manipulated.

[–] Cruxifux@feddit.nl 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Nah, I don’t think so. I don’t buy the whole “he’s just stupid” rhetoric. I was a fan of Rogan when he was still endorsing Sanders, and the dude is well read and often times asks intelligent questions.

I think he’s aware of what he’s doing. I think that he’s taking/has taken money from these people, and has decided to side with the elites as a result.

[–] logicbomb@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Stupid may not be the right word. I used to listen to his podcast occasionally, and he's certainly... What's the right term? "slow witted"?

Like, he seems like he has trouble keeping up. Maybe it's the weed he's smoking.

He also doesn't completely lack introspection, but his introspection seems unbelievably shallow. He's basically just afraid that other people might judge him not to be manly. He's scared of not being seen as manly, which is ironically pathetic and weak. But he's demonstrated it repeatedly.

So, these things together might work to the same end of having him.... and I'm going to use maybe the wrong word again... be so stupid that he doesn't realize how much of a Nazi he's become. He talks with anybody, and the bad actors he talks to lead him around by the nose, and he lacks the tools to analyze how that has affected him.

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

The best take I've heard is so open minded his brain falls out.

[–] Cruxifux@feddit.nl 4 points 1 month ago

Yeah I do think it is partly having guys like Ben Shapiro on that are smart enough to plant ideas in his head. I listened to a lot of those ones and was always annoyed when Shapiro or Owens would say something stupid and he’d be like “thats a good point” or whatever. But he also used to tell them off about climate change.

I don’t think Jordan Peterson or Steven Crowder were smart enough to influence him though. You could tell he thought they were idiots.

[–] HazardousBanjo@lemmy.world 31 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Joe Rogan will conveniently forget this ever happened in an hour.

Total piece of shit

[–] shittydwarf@piefed.social 29 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Acting like he didn't help these nazis get in charge

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Joe needs to get that hotdog costume.

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 25 points 1 month ago

Fuck Joe Rogan

He gives right wingers a platform, he supports their lies, he is part of the problem and he should never be listened to again

[–] DrFistington@lemmy.world 20 points 1 month ago

Fuck you Joe. You give these obvious con men a platform to spew their bullshit then act surprised when it boosts their popularity. He's a complete fucking tool

[–] Linktank@lemmy.today 20 points 1 month ago (1 children)
[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

Legitimately one of the most pathetic losers of our era.

[–] Kn1ghtDigital@lemmy.zip 19 points 1 month ago

Eat shit and die, Rogan.

[–] newthrowaway20@lemmy.world 19 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Joe Goebbels Rogan should know this.

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago
[–] arctanthrope@lemmy.world 18 points 1 month ago (1 children)

"we" huh? as in he identifies himself as part of their group? while acknowledging that they're Nazis? interesting.

[–] Cruxifux@feddit.nl 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I thought that was interesting too. That rhetoric is disturbingly different from how he used to speak like ten years ago.

What a fucking disappointment he turned out to be.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I just knew him as the side character on News Radio or whatever, later feeding people bugs and then later a guy into MMA or whatever and had a podcast.

Was there a point in time where he was worth listening to?

Helps enable evil,

"are we really going to be evil?"

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago

Joe, you are completely behind current events. There is no "going to be" here. They already are.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago (2 children)

"I didn't vote for THIS!"

How did the guy that fed people bugs end up being so influential?

Oh right, I guess the idiot loudmouth with a stupid combover was given a game show and then used that to launch himself into the WH, too...

The dumbest fucking timeline. I just don't get the appeal of Joe. He might come off as "authentic", but he also comes off as completely uninformed....

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago

He comes off as stupid as fuck.

If I find out someone listens to Rogan's podcast I immediately start treating them like a special needs individual.

[–] kmartburrito@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

There's definitely some willful ignorance in there too

[–] FreddiesLantern@leminal.space 14 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Like,… dude’s gotta be acting at this point right?

[–] ech@lemmy.ca 11 points 1 month ago

I do think he's authentically pretty stupid, but I would also believe it's for money. He's had "moments of clarity" before, then changed his tune pretty quick. May be acting up again to get attention or some hush money.

[–] altphoto@lemmy.today 13 points 1 month ago

Leave this guy in his YouTube trashcan where he belongs. I don't wanna see his face or hear him. nothing. You know what I mean.

[–] dylanmorgan@slrpnk.net 10 points 1 month ago

Kamau Bell posted a video about this, and how when you have a kid you teach them something, they say they got it, and a week later they ask about it again; and Joe Rogan is like that except he’s a full adult and he’s doing it with fascism.

[–] madcaesar@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

He spent the whole segment both siding.

Rogan is a piece of shit

[–] Bubbaonthebeach@lemmy.ca 8 points 1 month ago

Going to be? They already are. 100%

[–] BaraCoded@literature.cafe 7 points 1 month ago

TL;DR : Yes.

[–] Blackfeathr@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

.... and the last horse finally crosses the finish line

I really don’t give a shit what this idiot has to say. His opinions are not well sourced and change every other day anyway. While he might have actually said something that makes sense this week, next week he’ll just be saying the opposite.

[–] GladiusB@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Who listens to Alex Jones Jr anymore? He's jumped the shark

[–] robocall@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Do you know anyone that actually listens to Rogan?

[–] 4grams@awful.systems 3 points 1 month ago

As a middle aged white dude in IT, I no longer tell people I listen to podcasts because I’m sick of “ oh yeah, I listen to Rogan too” (I’ve never once listened to one of his shows).

He’s listened to by millions of “normal” dudes.
