Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

What would deploying armed troops to the streets do to quell protests against armed troops in the streets?

It'll further distract the public from the pedophile being ousted, also he plans on this getting much more out of hand so he can declare martial law... and BOOM... the piece of shit can cancel midterm elections because he's a scared little pedophile and knows he's cooked.

[–] cattywampas@lemmy.world 4 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Midterms are already happening. And Republicans need them to happen anyway.

[–] Soulphite@reddthat.com 5 points 5 days ago (2 children)

How so? Voting doesn't start till March. The primaries in November. Republicans control all branches currently, if the pedophile cancels midterms they'll still have control.

[–] cattywampas@lemmy.world 4 points 5 days ago

Campaigning and fundraising is already happening but both parties. If there weren't going to be midterms, the GOP would not be freaking out about them, campaigning, or fundraising. And they are freaking out about them.

But most importantly there is no such thing as "canceling midterms." States run them, not the federal government. I will be at the polls in November and for the primaries before that and you should be too.

This is just moving the goalposts anyway. I was told that we would never have elections again. We had a lot of them in 2025 and they went very well for the Democrats. Then I was told midterms wouldn't happen. Well they're sure about to. And now it's already moving to "midterms will happen but there will be voter suppression." Yeah, welcome to America. There's always been voter suppression. And we vote and make progress anyway.

In all seriousness, he wants blood. He wants more people to die for the """crime""" of opposing him.

“Jonathan Ross, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer who killed Good, suffered internal bleeding to his torso during the encounter, a Homeland Security official told The Associated Press”

The fuck he did.

Fuckers pulled out their thesaurus to describe a bruise.

It happened later when the ghoul was laughing back at the office

[–] Carmakazi@piefed.social 8 points 5 days ago (1 children)

A 2-inch bruise could technically be considered "internal bleeding."

He was in no way struck by the vehicle

[–] hateisreality@lemmy.world 3 points 5 days ago

It was when he got his tiny pecker caught in his zipper pulling it out to victory spank

It was from when he flopped onto her hood to get a better angle to shoot her in the face.

And we are still going to protest around the US. We citizens are united with Minneapolis folks.

Also by doing this what stops people from now attacking the military, ICE, and DHS since we will already be in the locked down people are worried about.

[–] just_another_person@lemmy.world 13 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

People wanted a general strike...this is one way.

See how fast these corporations turn on Trump.

The money wheel gets gummed up at all, and he's a dead man. He won't do shit.

Edit: as soon as I made this comment, this sick and twisted fuck echoed my sentiment 🤣 https://www.rawstory.com/michael-flynn-insurrection-act/

Don’t be silly, she would have done the exact same thing or something. They are basically the same person, don’t ya know. Republicans and democrats are the exact same, and my write in vote for my cat was the morally correct choice.

the actions here demonstrate both how absolutely unintelligent him and his admin are, along with how easily fooled he believes average citizens to be
