The headline has been rearranged. That whole image is AI-generated. They were never there in the room with the map.

[–] BotsRuinedEverything@lemmy.world 4 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Am I officially allowed to be angry at my friend and family who voted for this?

[–] AnabolicSpudsman07@lemmy.ca 1 points 3 hours ago

You're entitled to punch them in the fucking head at this point.

[–] IndridCold@lemmy.ca 12 points 10 hours ago

It's a direct threat to Canada.

Canada needs to take actions. Start to fortify our border crossings, run visible air force training along the border, move troops and equipment into sensitive regions.

I'm so tired of this shit.

[–] panda_abyss@lemmy.ca 109 points 17 hours ago (2 children)

Stop calling this trolling.Β

This is a declaration of intent.Β

[–] brap@lemmy.world 36 points 17 hours ago (3 children)

Yeah, he’s not exactly doing it just for shits and giggles is he?

[–] panda_abyss@lemmy.ca 27 points 17 hours ago

Yeah.

We need to expell US diplomats now.

I'm fucking done with this.

[–] redditmademedoit@piefed.zip 10 points 17 hours ago

Its both, he's playing to his fans by being an insufferable edge lord, and declaring hostile intent.

[–] ICastFist@programming.dev 4 points 16 hours ago

he is definitely shitting over everyone and giggling from that

[–] CanadaPlus@lemmy.sdf.org 0 points 10 hours ago

I mean, it's kind of both.

Imagine if Hitler had sat down with Churchill and presented to him a map showing Poland, France and the Netherlands as German states.

[–] Bristlecone@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago

Epic troll! /s

[–] Nouveau_Burnswick@lemmy.world 9 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Something like this? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan-Germanism#/media/File%3AGerman_Map_Sudeten.PNG

[–] CanadaPlus@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago)

I'm curious how much Nazi Persia the author was imagining. Their whole pseudohistory had them coming from there originally, which is probably why the territory is pictured trailing off in that direction.

Nazi negotiators probably said "just a joke bro" if the Brits ever pointed out that seems kinda expansionist.

[–] djsoren19@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

wouldn't the better analogy here be Chamberlain?

[–] CanadaPlus@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 10 hours ago

We and Europe are Chamberlain (if we don't respond), Trump is Hitler.

[–] CanadaPlus@lemmy.sdf.org 1 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago)

This version of Hitler also has a mustache that's narrow, but incredibly long, and instead of being on-again off-again vegetarian exclusively eats schnitzel and smells strongly of it.

[–] bluemoon@piefed.social 10 points 18 hours ago

they're all insufferable plebs

[–] Damage@feddit.it 6 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

And the fuckers just sat there and took it

[–] group_hug@sh.itjust.works 17 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

They were looking at a world map during a discussion about Ukraine.

Only the photo of them got AI enhanced after the fact. It is clearly written in the article.

[–] FoxyFerengi@startrek.website 7 points 15 hours ago

The crazy thing is he made them sit around his desk like they are his employees

All Americans are officially a threat to Canada.

Remove them. Seize their business, property, and assets.

Self deportation should begin immediately.

This is not a meme.

This is fucking war.

Doing business with Americans is cooperation with the enemy.

I don't care anymore if you're a 'good' American.

If you are in Canada, you're an enemy.

Unless and until you have removed the Nazis in power.

[–] theacharnian@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 hours ago

What a pathetic excuse for an idea.

We are all angry, but lashing out at Americans in Canada is a profoundly stupid thing to do.

[–] IndridCold@lemmy.ca 4 points 10 hours ago

I am 100% against America but I also know most Americans in Canada are here because they wanted to get out of the USA. Most of these people are more in line with Canadian culture than some Canadians - like the anti-vax/mask Trucker Convoy cunts.

If Americans are in country on work permit or PR, I have no problem with it.

That said, I'm not against clamping down on American business in Canada. Trump loves the handjobs he's getting from corporate America. Do you think Apple will give him another gold bar if Canada doubles or triples taxes on companies who have main offices in USA? We can even pass protectionist laws saying a US company can not raise the MSRP of an item over a particular percent from the MSRP in the US (exchange rate noted of course).

Apple, Microsoft, Amazon and others aren't going to pull out of Canada if we lean on US. They're going to lean back on Trump for fucking everything up and start laughing at his tiny penis.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 4 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Isn't that just what the bad Americans are doing to immigrants?

[–] masterofn001@lemmy.ca 3 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

And the good Americans are peacefully protesting as nothing changes.

I'd trust those that actively defend their rights and freedoms.

I know it's difficult, but it.will only get worse.

It is just sad that the majority had been lulled into either complacency or the fear of the loss of stability in the face of an evil so obvious.

My earlier comment was harsh and reactionary. (Really bad day - having just had my mom given last rites)

And I'm sick of waiting for the people who should be fighting back doing nothing as others are lined up in the cross hairs.

This is no longer a meme or a dress rehearsal.

This is it.

And I might say something else in anger, and I will, but we can't wait anymore to take.this shit as actively hostile wartime acts of aggression

[–] TheDudeV2@lemmy.ca 1 points 9 hours ago

Hey buddy. About your mom... know that this internet stranger is taking a moment to hope you're doing ok. Whoever and wherever you are.

I have thoughts about your post. But that doesn't matter right now.

Sincerely, all the best to you and yours.

[–] jim@lemmy.org 6 points 15 hours ago

So, the Americans who flee to Canada and will fight for Canada are the baddies? Gosh, you sound very American.

[–] Soulg@ani.social 6 points 15 hours ago (2 children)

Support everything until blaming random citizens who never supported it to begin with.

If you think I, a poor bus driver in rural Arkansas, am personally responsible or that I am even capable of affecting any meaningful change, you are a childish idiot.

[–] masterofn001@lemmy.ca 7 points 14 hours ago

If you do nothing, you are to blame. If you dont fight and lay back, and say I did nothing, how can you blame me? You are to blame. If you think I feel guilty for accusing Americans of being enemies, no. That is what must be assumed now.

You have a choice, you can do something.

If you chose to do nothing you are complacent at least and possibly complicit.

You, a poor bus driver, have a bus to drive.

When the time comes, you can chose where to drive it.

These are not normal times.

People. A lot of people. Are going to die.

Whether you fight or not will not preclude you from the onslaught.

Take a look at Minnesota.

Either by silence or by uprising, there will be no hiding in the end.

You can do something.

Anything.

No single one of us will be the hero to turn it all around.

But every single one of us who does nothing will be responsible for what happens.

You're right, of course, you need to join an organization of like minded individuals, no man is an island.

You've done that at least, one assumes.

[–] HubertManne@piefed.social 6 points 16 hours ago (3 children)

this is kinda why I have a thing about leaving. america has nukes and the largest military and its going to be easier to fight from inside than out.

[–] masterofn001@lemmy.ca 8 points 16 hours ago

True.

And France, Germany, UK, all have nukes as well.

It doesn't matter who has more.

All it will take is one and the world is finished.

And the Nazis in charge are OK with that.

People better start fighting back or everything is done.

[–] jim@lemmy.org 3 points 15 hours ago

Except when they randomly come get you

[–] IndridCold@lemmy.ca 0 points 10 hours ago

And Canadians can pass for Americans in the US.

If anything Canadians should start working on ways to get into the US so we can sabotage and guerrilla from the inside. I think that's my plan at the moment.

Go the the US, put on a red hat, and work sabotage from there.

[–] LeFantome@programming.dev 2 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

I am ok with Americans that come to Canada. Except the ambassador.

[–] masterofn001@lemmy.ca 2 points 13 hours ago

The bridge or the person? They're both unwelcome.

[–] Triumph@fedia.io 2 points 16 hours ago

I am both sorry and thrilled to hear this.
