Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). If it's government-related, it could just be a meme.

Bring long guns to protests.

What do you mean long guns? Worse maneuverability?

[–] rocketpoweredredneck@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Rifles and shotguns. Better penetration and stopping power. Most rifle rounds can penetrate common body armors, and a 12ga shotgun with slugs can make someone wearing kevlar wish they hadn't been. The minor amount of maneuverability you lose from carrying a 'long gun' is more than made for by their power and efficiency.

Gotcha. I'm looking at 12ga shotguns next, but maybe I should look at rifles...

if I could make a recommendation or two

https://ruger.com/products/mini14RanchRifle/models.html

or if you're feeling industrious and have access to the tools and space

https://www.80-lower.com/products/forged-fire-safe-marked-80-lower-assembly/ https://www.80-lower.com/products/5-56-ar-15-rifle-kit-16-parkerized-barrel-1-8-twist-15-mlok-handguard/

both are chambered in 5.56, which is a very common round, so they're cheap and easy to source, and plenty of power without having much in the way of recoil. It will penetrate most soft body armors, but level 4 kevlar, ceramic, or steel plate armors will stop it. The rounds are also boat tail, which according to some people makes it unstable once it hits a soft target meaning it won't over penetrate, I can't say if that's true or not, but there's plenty of high speed videos of 5.56 hitting ballistics gel that does show this.

A rifle in chambered in .308 would also be also be a good choice for a lot of scenarios for the same reasons as above, but most .308 rifles will be significantly heavier than 5.56 due to the size of the round, requiring everything to be larger. The larger overall size also means more powder which means more power, which means less things will stop it, but it will kick significantly harder.

Don't count out a 12ga though, shotguns very versatile weapons with a huge variety of ammo types from birdshot to dragons breath to a slug for every situation, from less lethal to penetrators. You can even take a round of two of birdshot and some crayons and make something that can put a hole in a whole of things that birdshot shouldn't be able to.

Look for a gun store/range that's affiliated with https://www.pinkpistols.org/ or https://www.blazingsword.org/

You're awesome, thank you.

Better deterrent. Just like having a big guy bouncer, versus a tiny woman who knows Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

This is only the beginning. Pedophile rapist is too narcissistic to backdown, admit any wrong doing whatsoever, in fact he will just double down making this situation far worse. We can conclude that ICE are very much a gang of weak trigger happy morons.

They are weak against sandwiches, car doors lightly tapping them and they are very scared of legal US citizens with properly and legally carried firearms. They will disarm you and execute you in broad daylight if caught legally exercising your 2nd Amendment right. Stay safe US, this is not a great situation and an unprecedented one to be in.

You've seen it in the news happen to other countries far from you, now it's in your backyard. Welcome to authoritarianism.

Turns out it‘s hard being a brown shirt when you‘re surrounded by cameras! Or that‘s the plan.

If they want to restore public trust, then local Minneapolis and Minnesota officials should be doing this investigation, not biased Trump boot-lickers. Who in their right mind is going to trust DHS led by Noem or the FBI led by Pattel to do a fair, unbiased, and competent investigation?

Just don't be surprised when the investigation gets terminated for a lack of evidence to being forth charges, or that they determined that Pretti was at fault and deserved to be murdered. President "hide the classified documents in the bathroom" is all about the obstruction of justice.

They don't want to restore public trust.

Body cam footage held by the bootlicking Kash Patel run FBI.

Probably nothing more than grok produced videos.
