Used to eat a lot of these but eventually moved away from them. Nowadays, avoiding American means they're thankfully not even an option.

Wow, a hot-pocket and time off work!?

[–] Disgruntled@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I’m shocked they found 7 people that eat those!

Woah buddy, I love pizza pops. Don’t be a hater.

LOL! We had a guy at work brought a box in and he left them in the freezer and someone took them on him. He told the boss and at our weekly meeting the boss mentioned it and someone said, “You mean there’s TWO people that eat those?” and it’s stuck with me ever since. No hate, just teasing.

You just know it was the ~~boss~~ person chiming in trying to deflect from him being a suspect.

Soil, especially soil in urban settings, can be contaminated with heavy metals, etc.

.....cant have a god damn thing in this world anymore.

I kinda gave up and embraced the whole "acceptable amounts" thing. Like, we couldn't even detect most of this stuff a couple of generations ago - levels probably are fairly acceptable (even if gross).

How does it survive the microwaved molten lava?

Oh right, that's only the bit that squirts onto the roof of your mouth. The rest is still frozen. My bad.

(also, pro tip: ignore the instructions, heat for longer at lower power to avoid the scenario above)

Pro tip, they're amazing when cooked in an air fryer.

[–] dickalan@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

you know the microwaves don't kill E. coli toxins right

[–] Washedupcynic@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 month ago

The lay person doesn't have a background in microbiology, so they don't know that the waste, (toxins,) created by bacteria being alive and doing their thing contributes to the symptoms of illness.
