In another round of late-night social media posts, Donald Trump attacked the Supreme Court for not overturning his loss in the 2020 presidential election — and tried to pressure the court to rule his way in future election cases.

Flurries of angry social media posts are not unusual for Trump, but this one was particularly alarming for its scope and the criticism it directed against the nation’s highest court, where six out of nine justices are conservatives and three are Trump appointees.

He is a putrid, lice-ridden tuft of anal pubic hair that’s been transplanted atop a grimy, tattered Egyptian mummy, that’s oft mistaken for a dried-up 6 foot tall, spray-tan colored toilet brush.

[–] human@slrpnk.net 3 points 44 minutes ago

Is that Dickinson?

[–] Paranoidfactoid@lemmy.world 1 points 2 hours ago

Yeah, but doesn't that lice-ridden toupet look good!?

If they overturned the 2020 election would that make his current term illegal?

[–] BillCheddar@lemmy.world 3 points 46 minutes ago

There is literally no mechanism by which that happens.

Practically speaking, the next President has to go through and undo all of this asshole's changes on paper, by signing new EOs and (in some cases) asking Congress for a law to sign. Most of it is administrative, so easy to undo without Congress.

We can't do anything about anyone he pardoned. They stay pardoned. Can't get around that, Constitutionally.

[–] mcv@lemmy.zip 15 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

I think January 6 makes his current term illegal.

You'd think but Americans took a poll two years ago and they decided it didn't really matter much to them.

Honestly his being alive might be a net positive at this point. Republicans have now seen how far they can push the base. Once they get a slightly more competent psychopath in place we'll be five shades more fucked than we are already

Why does this site use cookies?

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 3 points 3 hours ago

I wondered that, too!

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 2 hours ago (2 children)

Eventually we'll get his second term declared invalid, and roll back all of his EOs, legislation, etc., including pardons. Those people will be expected to return to prison to serve out their sentences, or they'll be declared fugitives, and an additional 10 years added to their sentence, no matter what the original sentence was.

[–] the_crotch@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 hour ago (2 children)

And we'll finally figure out cold fusion and faster than light travel and a unified field theory and everyone will get a pony

[–] TankovayaDiviziya@lemmy.world 1 points 4 minutes ago

I don't want a pony. Could I get a Batmobile?

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 3 points 1 hour ago

I don't want a pony. I wouldn't mind a small dog or sweet kitty.

[–] entropiclyclaude@lemmy.wtf 2 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

That would require Dems to do something.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 2 points 1 hour ago

Yep, when the House and Senate flips in the Midterms, the new Congress will no longer be business as usual. They will get with the program, or they will suffer the consequences right along with the rest of the MAGAs. There are already a few who will have to answer for their incompetence, like the MAGA comedy act of Schmuck & Jeffries.

Anybody who's ever had to deal with someone with fronto-temporal dementia knows the symptoms.

[–] joekar1990@lemmy.world 22 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Can't wait for the Jake Tapper book to come out later on all this.

[–] ExtremeDullard@piefed.social 7 points 7 hours ago

I really hope Jake Tapper isn't related to Trump. He's had enough tragedies in his life.

[–] ShellMonkey@piefed.socdojo.com 34 points 7 hours ago (7 children)

There has to be some point where the congress critters decide this guy is just too unhinged to be in power, right?

Small correction: Republicans & Democrats for the last 50 years (examples are legion), BoTh PaRtIeS, no true scotsman, etc.

In other words, "Principled Conservatives".

[–] daannii@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

Right!?!

RIGHT!?!???

😞

[–] ryokimball@infosec.pub 59 points 7 hours ago (2 children)

The fact that this line appears not to be crossed already is the single most damaging aspect for the US

[–] errer@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago

The line was absolutely crossed a few months into his first term.

[–] AFKBRBChocolate@lemmy.ca 5 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Exactly. Can you imagine getting in the Obama tan suit days and having an administration try 1/100th of the crap this one is doing? It's amazing how trump has normalized high treason and rampant corruption.

[–] krashmo@lemmy.world 3 points 2 hours ago

He's just highlighting what was already true. Rich people can do what they like because they control the government and they have class solidarity.

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 10 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Problem is most of the congress has empowered Trump too much, so if they step out against him, they are going to be equally implicated.

At this point, it is ride or die for them.

[–] Bustedknuckles@lemmy.world 3 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago) (1 children)

Or both?

Both is ~~good~~ acceptable

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago

You can’t ride and die. That’s like having your cake and eating it too.

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 9 points 6 hours ago

Traitors gonna treason.

[–] YurkshireLad@lemmy.ca 4 points 6 hours ago

Surely that point has long passed?

Literally no, he could start dragging congress people out and shooting them dead in public and the GOP would cover him for it. Say it's too soon to discuss between rounds. Especially if he leaves the GOP for last, at which point the dead are declared RINOs and ignored.

[–] kmartburrito@lemmy.world 18 points 7 hours ago

It's always projection with this tiny dick chucklefuck pedo. He's trying to sow some chaos so he can call on them to come in clutch when he pulls fuckery during the midterms and take a "you owe me one" approach.

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 11 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

A child trapped inside an adult's body.

No wonder conservatives identify with him.

[–] AFKBRBChocolate@lemmy.ca 2 points 3 hours ago

Pretty sure it was Trump's body that was inside the child.

[–] Gullible@sh.itjust.works 7 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Major aside, but every time I Wikipedia information about the justices, I’m struck by how young some of them look, despite being in their 70s. Wikipedia just uses 20+ year old photos, which I also rediscover every time.

[–] santa@sh.itjust.works 1 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago)

If they validated it, I would support that if he was then immediately vacated from office, along with everything he’s done this term including appointments and lifetime confirmations, as this would be his third term.

All of this aside, I think it’s good what has happened because it means that whatever someone says doesn’t change the facts of what happened with evidence.

[–] meathorse@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Trump: why won't supreme court do something about this injustice

Also Trump: supreme court? You have no power here... I do what I want!

[–] SayJess@piefed.blahaj.zone 1 points 2 hours ago

Whateva, I do what I want!

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago

PEDOnald will just never, ever get over being a gigantic loser. He'll go to his grave still pissing and moaning about the "stolen" election, the poor little snowflake.

He can make this argument because those fuckers have done it in the past. Way to go, SCOTUS.
