Why are Americans so weak and ineffective? why are they ok being led by a demented, racist, old pervert?

[–] crystalmerchant@lemmy.world 8 points 1 hour ago

Is that so? Well in that case the US is not winning the war with Iran

[–] criticalsink@lemmy.world 15 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

But not storming the capital

[–] mattyroses@lemmy.today 8 points 2 hours ago

Americans should be storming the capital though

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 27 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 4 hours ago)

When facts are treason, it's time to 86 the government.

And for those who don't (or pretend not to) understand American English common usage, that means "remove," not "kill."

[–] Stupidmanager@lemmy.world 28 points 5 hours ago (2 children)

American here you orange fat fuck! Your war is lost, your deals suck and your hair is pathetic like your little mind.

Treasonous is what you do, every day.

His ‘Orange’ fake tan… it’s implied.

You forgot about the mushroom in the room...

[–] Stupidmanager@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

So many nick names.

Taco comes to mind, mushroom boy too.

[–] Quexotic@infosec.pub 1 points 33 minutes ago

mushroom tacos?

Oh no, and I've just put it off a visual in my head.

[–] luciferofastora@feddit.org 7 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Cut them some slack, it's really easy to overlook

The truth, since he wants people to know it, is they assassinated the leaders & military infrastructure hoping Iran would collapse. And when it didn't there was no plan. Generals and regional experts presumably advised on the sheer stupidity of the attack but none had the balls to resign. So now there is an oil crisis, and when the war is over Iran will emerge from this even more entrenched and dominant than ever.

[–] anon_8675309@lemmy.world 3 points 2 hours ago

And soon to be a food crises.

[–] thecaptaintrout@lemmy.zip 7 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

IIRC, I think there were multiple military leaders who resigned in protest during the buildup, and certainly over his current regime. That said, too many sycophants that still followed illegal/immoral orders.

[–] DokPsy@lemmy.world 1 points 9 minutes ago

The only thing I hate about people leaving in protest: it only hastens the downfall as the only ones left are the sycophants

[–] Bloefz@lemmy.world 9 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

Just like it's treasonous in Russia to call their 'special military operation' a war.

What a country to mirror yourself to.

[–] Quexotic@infosec.pub 1 points 31 minutes ago

Mirror? I'm still not convinced that he's not getting direct instruction.

[–] spacegoat@lemmy.world 26 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

If the law punished real treason, then the entirety of the Heritage Foundation, AFPI, the Republican Party, heck, the majority of evangelicals would be swinging

[–] crandlecan@mander.xyz 10 points 5 hours ago

Stop making me wet!! 😡

[–] kungfuratte@feddit.org 1 points 2 hours ago

Big Bonkers is watching you.

[–] TigerAce@lemmy.dbzer0.com 19 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

The US are a bunch of losers across the board.

[–] return2ozma@lemmy.world 5 points 4 hours ago

As an American, yes. Ugh.

[–] MML@sh.itjust.works 54 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago) (2 children)

The US is not winning war in Iran

[–] crandlecan@mander.xyz 6 points 6 hours ago

I would never say that the US is not winning the war in Iran, because I do not want to be deported by ICE, Trump's S.S., since I have a foreign look. Heil Drumph, heil U.S. of A!

[–] Hayduke@lemmy.world 9 points 7 hours ago

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

[–] TheTimeKnife@lemmy.world 20 points 7 hours ago

Typically a sign things are going well......

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 35 points 8 hours ago (2 children)

It was treason to launch an insurrection against the United States on January 1st, 2021.

It was treason to send the US to war in Iran, unauthorized by Congress, spending US taxpayer dollars, depleting US munitions stockpiles, throwing away US lives, alienating US allies, ruining US strategic defense posture, devastating US soft power, and tanking the US economy.

These are only some of the examples of treason Donny has committed. The full list would be much longer.

[–] hateisreality@lemmy.world 1 points 53 minutes ago

Like cutting all the programs that we paid for with our taxes without any congressional approval whatsoever?

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 3 points 4 hours ago

It's treason to act as a Russian asset as well.

And it's worse than treason to rape kids.

[–] Cellari@lemmy.world 8 points 6 hours ago

Trump says US is not winning war in Iran?

I'm not saying, just asking.

[–] WraithGear@lemmy.world 18 points 7 hours ago

the US is not winning the war in iran.

[–] A_Random_Idiot@lemmy.world 29 points 8 hours ago

Trump thinks any criticism of him and his failures is treason.

he likes to frame it as treason, because he wants to kill people who are critical and oppose him.

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 47 points 9 hours ago (4 children)

“Truth is treason in an empire of lies.”

From Ron fucking Paul of all people.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 2 points 4 hours ago

He was quoting George Orwell, a person who would have despised him.

Isn't there, like, a VERY specific definition of treason, right there in the Constitution? Specifically to prevent people from pointing at stuff they don't like and going "that's TREASON!"? Something about needing two witnesses or something too, I think.

If the goal of the war was to increase gas prices by about 50%, murder a bunch of random schoolchildren, and accomplish nothing else, then they're doing a real bang up job of it.

[–] IsoKiero@sopuli.xyz 6 points 5 hours ago

accomplish nothing else

Come on now, give credit where credit is due. There was also a shit ton of wealth transferred to Trump and his gang via insider trading, messing around with markets in general and a ton of other shady business. Russia (and likely Putin directly) and China also benefited from the chaos created. And also global instability increased by quite a lot, but one could argue that was only a side effect and not a direct goal.

The truth is treason. Lies are patriotism. War is peace. Freedom is slavery.
