Those "keep politics out of x" is so ridiculously ignorant. As if self-censorship is politically neutral 🤦♂️ As if avoiding LGBT representation is neutral. Just wait until they discover that Star Wars is political and has always been 😂

My dad loves to say “I hate how political movies are now”, and I’m just like “How many movies have you made me sit through over the years where the main takeaway is ‘The US military and government and all of their policies are awesome and correct.’”
I mean... it's actually kind of disturbing how many there are, The green Berets, Top Gun, Transformers, Black hawk down, some grey area ones like saving private ryan and similar.
Of course, you'd get the other side of the coin with say movies like rambo, apacalypse now Born on the fourth of july etc...
Didn't the first(?) (The one where the main guy finds Bumblebee) movie have the government as the secondary bad guys?
Conservatives tend to be some mix of stupid, cruel, and willfully ignorant. You have to be or the worldview falls apart.
Keep politics out of Wolfenstein
never heard of star wars, but i agree on the rest
According to Lucas the rebel alliance was based on the Vietcong.

That's so interesting. I heard in the post-red scare era a lot of left political commentators turned to sci-fi because it allowed them to commentate without being censored.
Art can defeat the state!
Some has some pretty bad ironic concepts though. Like the expanse in my opinion was a strong version of that. In watching it it really showed the capitalism hell, with the belt clearly representing some level of the working class/the global south.
To me the great irony of it though was after it got canceled, Jeff Bezos personally took towards buying the show and using amazon prime to keep it going.
Not only the Belters. The part where they show the city around the UN building does it too.
never heard of star wars
But I'm sure you heard of it's main protagonist, Captain Kirk
That's star trek. Star wars is the one where the kid finds the alien and helps him get back home.
That's ET, Star Wars is where group scientists in Artactica find an alien organism that can imitate whatever it absorbs.
Thst's The Thing, Star Wars is when a mining crew discover a new and deadly alien organism.
That's The Thing. Star Wars is with the time travelling british twink.
That's Doctor Who. Star Wars is the one with the computer that says "I'm afraid I can't do that, Dave" and starts murdering the crew.
That’s 2001: A Space Odyssey. Star Wars is the one where a robot goes back in time to kill a lady before she gives birth to the leader of a resistance movement.
That's Terminator. Star Wars is the one with the planet full of primates that turns out to be Earth.
There's only one captain of my heart

the best scene is when he pulls the Picard Maneuver
"It's not politics if it's my politics!"
Haha! You've fallen for my bait! Now there will be even MORE hot Yuri action.

Has love always been political? 🥺
If you're not straight and cis? Yes.
Remember,
There's only two genders: male and political. There's only two races: white and political. There's only two sexualities: straight and political There's only two religions: Christian and political.
According to that I'm 75% apolitical. My family and friends will be so relieved to hear that.
Dang, I'm apolitical 😞

What's political about gays
That's how /pol/ (and by extension, Bannon/Epstein/some stormfront users) were able to convince a generation of men to police the internet on their behalf. Sounds very convincing to centrists and previously apolitical people, had some success already in Hungary by the 2010s (which ended with Fidesz calling the resulting as apolitical art as humanly possible as "valueless, without any meaning"), and was the thing that ultimately convinced a generation of gamers to start a "consumer revolt" that was actually a right wing astroturf campaign.
Not enough tongue, draw them kissing harder.
Reverse psychology 101
OH SHIT! We’ve had a breach! Femcel memes have started leaking out!
That’s it dagnabbit! I’ve had it!!!
Next time I’m voting for the kissing demons party!
"the risk isn't worth it" lowkey sounds like a threat.
Fuck yeah
People just let strangers into their DMs? I don't get this.
I get random messages on Telegram all the time. This was one of the best:

It's fun messing with them on occassion.
I mean, why not?
Anyway, this remind me of that

They had the profile like that when they wrote me lol

I mean, why not?
Exactly because of the shit you just showed me? lmao
Now THAT'S politics
Whatever that is 2028
Prime Minister's Questions? More like Prime Minister's Cravings
Protest public displays of affection would be the #1 thing I'd miss if homophobia disappears (it's worth it of course, just like I wouldn't want anyone to get fired at no matter how cool they might look dodging bullets)
Awesome comic, my only nitpick is the lower-left blue heart somewhat out of place (clothing patch?), otherwise very expressive for only 2 panels with faces
