In America it really does seem like we can only trust some independent sources and media, certainly not the major networks that are bought and owned.
Real journalists aren't allowed to interview the President. They're doing real work, resulting in Panama and Pandora papers, for example. Proof of the entire world's international web of wealthy monsters, all ignored for the most part.
I'm just waiting for the day that some other leader has his balls drop and says the exact same line back to Trump as he did it to a reporter.
I mean imagine some big public international negotiation, Trump starts mouthing off, as he usually does, saying nothing, and someone with actual authority at that table tells him "Shut up piggy".
"Freedom of the press" is a funny little phrase because it doesn't specify who is free to do what with the press... As it turns out, billionaires are free to buy the press, and gatekeep it from anyone who might challenge them.
Just like "freedom of speech" meant only for the speech the administration/free speech absolutists likes.
Never, because Republicans bought all the publications. If you want fair reporting dont allow billionaires to capture all of them. They can't say this. They will be immediately fires and probably black walled throughout the billionaire owned industry.

Yes. In the US both parties are very well into the Conservative side of the spectrum.
Even in Canada the current Liberals are right of centre ... We really need real pro labour parties in both countries
Honestly the "Republican" ideology is kind of a global now too. They need a new name for the global instance.
Edit: actually they need a new name in general because they dont even care for republics anymore, its all centralized power boners.

Well, this is an easy question to answer. Trump doesn't talk to outlets that ask him hard questions or say things that he doesn't like to his face. If they do, they won't be invited back, and he will have his lawyers sue them for 10 billion dollars.
