Thats because farmers are fucking dumb, I grew up in the midwest and I honestly can't think of one farmer I know that isn't an idiot. They will complain about welfare and then sign up for subsidies without the slightest concept of their own hypocrisy.

I remember seeing Craig T. Nelson doing an interview, talking about how he grew up poor.
We were in public housing on food stamps. Did anyone help us? No.
They think they've done it all by themselves without any help, it's the "other people" who are "freeloaders".
Exactly this. I have in-laws who used Medicaid to have multiple kids because they were so poor. Roll on ten years and they have a bit more money and constantly rage about all the 'deatbeat mooches' having kids via Medicaid.
The lack of self-awareness is staggering.
It's exactly the same with Hillbilly Elegy and JD Vance. He hates the same system that got him to where he is. He needs to believe that he was a special snowflake and that he succeeded through his own superiority.
I have 0 sympathy for these fucks. I hope they lose their farms because they deserve it. MAGA only learns the hard way when consequences smack them in their dumb face.
Side note: start growing your own food people. Even if it's just a little bit, anything counts. Having some sweet potatoes or other stuff is a great insurance policy if anything shocks the food system. And shocks are coming, let me say.

The final statement about “God” putting someone in to help them has got to be the dumbest cope I’ve ever seen. Truly gives the word “hope” a bad name.
