Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Yep Focus the outrage on something super ridiculous. So the more realistic but corrupt thing slips through.

[–] Auli@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 week ago

Yes because this isn't corrupt. Make billions well president and make it illegal to audit your family.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 week ago

Or a hastily improvised fallback position that will also collapse.

I guess it'll be null and void if his family is executed if there's a french style revolution. Did y'all see Ivanka talk about how she impulse bought a fucking private island as a fixer-upper? To manifest her tangible spiritualism or some shit?

It's ok, drones can launch from ships just fine.

If they’ve done nothing wrong, why are they so afraid of audits? And haven’t they been using the excuse of audits to refuse disclosing their tax returns? Don’t they realize how guilty this makes them look?

Bro, they don't give a flying fuck what the optics look like. They are blatantly doing corruption right in front of everyone's faces. His base and most GOP, especially MAGA GOP eat it right up because it's "owning the libs"

Republican voters are fucking stupid weird like that, so long as other people suffer more they'll take some suffering too. If a thing they hate is getting taken care of (ie. Immigrants [brown people]) they'll gladly turn a blind eye to corruption and hell, even pedophilia apparently... fucking weirdos.

Americans are complacent. He is literally doing all this in the open and well some is illegal. It doesn't matter cause no one is enforcing anything.

Trump never does anything, not even things that are part of his official duties as President, unless there is a quid pro quo, specifically, something that benefits him personally is involved.

I just find it ironic that so many people are willing to do all of these corrupt actions for Trump and as far as I can tell, they receive almost no benefit. In fact, for lawyers there's a correlation between working for Trump and being disbarred.

Trump would never in a million years do anything like all of these sycophants are doing. I am sure that Trump thinks they're all complete morons.

Remember when they said they were the "party of laws"?

What a joke.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

He can probably let the money go when the immunity keeps him and his family out of prison...

[–] Auli@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

He well pardon his whole family before leaving office.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

The good news is that he cannot pardon them until they are sentenced. They will be dragged in court after he left the White House.

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

They probably owe hundreds of millions. Garbage, absolute garbage.

Yesterday I was coming back home but I saw the sun shining off the coast. I left my car parked on the side of the 5 and I swam to a paradise island. Yada yada yada... Now I own an island. It's great cuz I can leave my dog there while I go to work. The only issue is several nuklier sites full of radiation. But that's it. A couple of mutant tigers and a family of 30ft wingspan mosquitoes. But that's all.
