"Am I shitting my pants right now or is someone else shitting them?"

[–] ZkhqrD5o@lemmy.world 3 points 44 minutes ago

Donnie is understandably mad that Elon interrupted his work-time nap.

[–] Legonatic@lemmy.world 2 points 28 minutes ago

I don't think the average trader is convinced of this at all. I think they just know to buy in early to ride the hype, then sell it once the hype dies down. Short term gains.

When this bubble pops we are all fucked.

[–] CIA_chatbot@lemmy.world 12 points 2 hours ago (5 children)

Man this is great! My theory is the simulation ends when the first person hits a trillion. If that’s the case then this hellscape is almost over everyone! Someone finally won the damn game and we can all log out!

[–] aeronmelon@lemmy.world 6 points 2 hours ago

Somebody’s been watching Sword Art Online.

[–] redsand@infosec.pub 1 points 1 hour ago

Indistinguishable from people who say we need to create greater Israel so that God ends the world

[–] CIA_chatbot@lemmy.world 2 points 41 minutes ago

Well that’s a huge reach off of a shit post.

It’ll tank once it’s absorbed into the Nasdaq 100 in a few weeks.

You mean Tesla, right?

Because SpaceX just got 25% over their 94x guess...

[–] Mulligrubs@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

This debt economy with the Fed and those appointed to it may have some slight flaws

Hmmm, let's get a few more bankers on it, maybe print some more money just to be safe

[–] garbage_world@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

25 P/E ratio isn't even that bad, especially for a tech company

100 on the other hand...

[–] Casterial@lemmy.world 5 points 2 hours ago

And if their value drops, just have your other company bail them out for triple their value and make your company double in value! Woooo!

[–] hemko@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 hour ago

I wish Elmo will be the first trillionare to be shot in the neck

What is the normal ratio of annual revenue to valuation?

[–] flamingo_pinyata@sopuli.xyz 4 points 2 hours ago* (last edited 2 hours ago)

10x is considered normal for big corpos.
For growing companies and startups with (perceived) bright future it can go up to 40x, but only for a short time during initial growth stage.

Edit: SpaceX P/E ratio at the IPO is 94. Which is insane.

[–] PostProcess@lemmy.world 4 points 2 hours ago

Nvidia trades at x22

[–] marcos@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago* (last edited 2 hours ago) (1 children)

Something bellow 4. Something bellow 7 in industries that need a lot of capital to make a little revenue.

[–] garbage_world@lemmy.world 1 points 2 hours ago

4 P/E would be insane. Please show me a health company in any time in modern history with the P/E ratio that low.
