Jesus fucking Christ. The article is worse than I thought. "Our guys are scared for their lives! Even though we are the ones doing all the murdering, we will have to murder even more of you if you don't start obeying us, though our instructions are clear as mud and we aren't even following our own laws!"

[–] hopesdead@startrek.website 88 points 1 month ago (4 children)

So basically shut up and let us keep breaking the law or you die.

[–] WalrusDragonOnABike@reddthat.com 43 points 1 month ago

And the law breaking includes making people die. Also don't be anywhere near a live ICE because they might just do things like break into your home and that's your fault somehow.

Ah, "this is your fault" stage of abuse.

“It all goes back to the Dems who want to continually attack ICE and tell people to evade them, tell people don't comply, tell people to resist, and tell people ICE isn’t a real law enforcement,” Homan said. “There's still going to be more bloodshed unless they shut their mouth and let ICE enforce the laws that they enacted.”

[–] huppakee@lemmy.world 34 points 1 month ago (1 children)

“There's still going to be more bloodshed unless they shut their mouth and let ICE enforce the laws that they enacted.”

Obviously never going to happen, but i bet if the Dems did shut their mouth the bloodshed will continue as planned.

[–] lilacintheshade@lemmy.zip 17 points 1 month ago

“And so I come full circle on this response and just want to encourage you with some substance that we are in the process of the second American Revolution, which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be.”

  • Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts, out loud... in public... 126 days before his candidate was elected...
[–] gAlienLifeform@lemmy.world 80 points 1 month ago (2 children)

There will be more bloodshed until Democratic lawmakers and like-minded people abolish ICE

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

I'm honestly surprised how meek the resistance has been. Would have expected a driveby or two at least somewhere at some point over the last 2 years. Nope! No randos have just gone up to an ICE guy and popped them in the head. Makes sense for Stepford, but ICE in the hood?

[–] Dryad@lemmy.world 73 points 1 month ago (2 children)

“I’m scared to death because assaults with vehicles are sky high. There’s been a lot of shootings. I’m scared to death that one of these days, our ICE officers aren’t going to be quick enough. The bad guys can be quicker,” Homan told Fox News’ Laura Ingraham Wednesday night.

Playing the victim…presumption of guilt…claims with no evidence…yay fascism…

[–] partial_accumen@lemmy.world 21 points 1 month ago

"The bad guys can be quicker,” Homan told Fox News’ Laura Ingraham Wednesday night.

"...this is why we have to shoot innocent people dead before they do anything illegal just to be sure ICE is safe". - Homan probably

It was self defense. I got in front of the car and it was slowly moving in my general direction. My legs suddenly stopped working so I wouldn't be able to get out of the way if the car suddenly accelerated and my only option was to preemptively shoot to kill.

[–] riskable@programming.dev 61 points 1 month ago (1 children)

So he's literally saying the beatings will continue until morale improves‽

[–] CileTheSane@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 month ago

No, he's literally saying "the murders will continue"

Full stop.

That's a threat and he should be referred to the Capitol police.

Victim’s families should use this as evidence they do this on purpose.

[–] Jaysyn@lemmy.world 40 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (2 children)

Fuck you Homan, you're going to die in a cell in the Hague. This statement will be played back for you at your trial.

[–] Zannsolo@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

No American will die in the hague, in jail maybe but probably not. Even the most leftist president wouldn't give up American sovereignty to the icc.

[–] PalmTreeIsBestTree@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I’d like to see all these traitors die at the noose or the end of a gun barrel personally

The midterms will decide whether it is a troubled peace or a violent war that defines the next era of America.

I will keep speaking, and if it comes down to it, bear arms against tyrants.

[–] razzazzika@lemmy.zip 30 points 1 month ago

As if staying silent would stop the killing.

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 26 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Looks like a good justification for any interaction with ICE being an exercise in self defense. He just upended ICE's legal basis for being held to be law abiding by any reasonable person. On top of being fascist, what an inept dipshit.

This dickhead still has not had consequences for taking 50K in that bribery sting, right?

Anyway, this is some classic DARVO shit right here.

[–] cmbabul@slrpnk.net 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

That second one is rapidly declining in potential effectiveness

[–] electric_nan@lemmy.ml 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

The ballot box is what brought us here. Every election for decades has resulted in more cops and more surveillance.

[–] Nouvellalia@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago

We have more cops in America now per capita than nazi Germany had at the height of WWII, and that's including all the gestapo, SS, and military police in the German count. DC has an enforcer with a gun and no consequences for every 60 people.

[–] Ferrous@lemmy.ml 22 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Shout-out to Obama for giving us this guy.

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

From Homan's wikipedia:

"By 2014, under the Obama administration, Homan began to argue that separating children from their caregivers would be an effective way to discourage illegal border crossings. The journalist Caitlin Dickerson has called him the "intellectual father" of the policy, which he outlined years before the Trump administration adopted it. "Most parents don't want to be separated", Homan told Dickerson. He argued that this makes separation an effective tool for immigration enforcement: "I'd be lying to you if I didn't think that would have an effect."[9]

In 2015, the Obama administration awarded him a Presidential Rank Award as a Distinguished Executive."

I cant beleive Obama appointed him and gave him an award after he suggested separating kids from their parents. Just monstrous. Eff you for that one, Barack.

That guy rapes kids. I'd bet money on it.

[–] ChunkMcHorkle@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

I can't tell if you're joking or not, but in reality you're probably right. This kind of overt, arrogant, conscienceless disregard for the humanity of others is always just the tip of the evil shitberg they're made of under the skin.

Or to put it another way, a man who does not care about the abuse, torture, and murder of thousands is not going to give two shits about the right of a child to live unharmed. And just as he feels entitled to do what he will to the living bodies of immigrants, he will feel entitled to do the body of anyone else that lacks the power to stop him.

It never fucking ends with these kinds of gleefully evil people: whatever horrendous amorality you see in front of you, there's ALWAYS more where that came from.

[–] fyzzlefry@retrolemmy.com 19 points 1 month ago

You made me hit you

[–] ChunkMcHorkle@lemmy.world 17 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

So protesting and calling out their crimes and sharing video and making a racket must not be as pointless as some would have us all believe, because Tom Homan himself is desperate to shut it down.

The LAST fucking thing any sentient human being should do is shut their mouth against these murders and crimes against humanity.

Anyone who cares enough to yell, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

[–] theacharnian@lemmy.ca 16 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

His full phrase was

“It all goes back to the Dems who want to continually attack ICE and tell people to evade them, tell people don't comply, tell people to resist, and tell people ICE isn’t a real law enforcement,” Homan said. “There's still going to be more bloodshed unless they shut their mouth and let ICE enforce the laws that they enacted.

Umm, can we talk about that very last bit?

“There's still going to be more bloodshed unless they shut their mouth and let ICE enforce the laws that they enacted.”

They who, Tom? They fucking who? Because ICE is not a legislative body and cannot enact laws.

Even if he's implying immigration laws enacted by congress, those laws do not have death as a punishment for ANY violations.

[–] Jaysyn@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago (3 children)

It's not even a crime, it's a civil infraction.

[–] wizbiz@lemmy.blahaj.zone 12 points 1 month ago

Literally trying to TERRORIZE Americans into compliance. Ice is a terrorist organization

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago

Fuck you Tom Homan, you fuckin' fascist.

Go die.

[–] NekoKoneko@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

Don't forget that we are being run by a mafia-wannabe, and every "protection" demand is also a threat.

This is the equivalent of "It'd be a shame if something happened to your nice flower shop. But if you do what we say we can protect you." And it also may very well be a signal to the lawbreakers in and out of government to demonstrate that the violence will continue. I don't doubt a Proud Boy could see this as a suggestion to shut a Democrat lawmaker's mouth.

[–] sportsjorts@lemmy.zip 7 points 1 month ago

Fuck this weeb. Only way you will shut my mouth is murdering me in cold blood like ice does to everyone else fucking Nazi scum.

[–] Corvidae@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

Tom Homan playing Sister Mary Elephant.

[–] TheStaffmaster@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I mean, if he'd rather we open a clip on his ass. I'd have thought words were preferable, but if that's what he wants...

care to walk that back so we can try to play nice?
