Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.

Literally trying to TERRORIZE Americans into compliance. Ice is a terrorist organization

[–] razzazzika@lemmy.zip 30 points 6 days ago

As if staying silent would stop the killing.

~~Soapbox~~

Ballotbox

~~Jury box~~

Ammo box

[–] cmbabul@slrpnk.net 7 points 6 days ago (1 children)

That second one is rapidly declining in potential effectiveness

[–] electric_nan@lemmy.ml 9 points 6 days ago (1 children)

The ballot box is what brought us here. Every election for decades has resulted in more cops and more surveillance.

[–] Nouvellalia@lemmy.world 11 points 6 days ago

We have more cops in America now per capita than nazi Germany had at the height of WWII, and that's including all the gestapo, SS, and military police in the German count. DC has an enforcer with a gun and no consequences for every 60 people.

[–] theacharnian@lemmy.ca 16 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago) (1 children)

His full phrase was

“It all goes back to the Dems who want to continually attack ICE and tell people to evade them, tell people don't comply, tell people to resist, and tell people ICE isn’t a real law enforcement,” Homan said. “There's still going to be more bloodshed unless they shut their mouth and let ICE enforce the laws that they enacted.

Umm, can we talk about that very last bit?

[–] savvie@lemmy.zip 4 points 5 days ago

First Amendment, anyone? Fellow Yanks??

[–] sportsjorts@lemmy.zip 7 points 5 days ago

Fuck this weeb. Only way you will shut my mouth is murdering me in cold blood like ice does to everyone else fucking Nazi scum.

[–] HugeNerd@lemmy.ca 4 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I find I don't need to read Philip K Dick novels anymore, I just watch the world...

[–] nosuchanon@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Time to rewatch a scanner darkly. I need one of those suits.

[–] HugeNerd@lemmy.ca 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I'm thinking more of

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_Free_Albemuth

"The story is set in the late 1960s in an alternate reality of the United States. The country is ruled by Ferris F. Fremont, a psychopathic, paranoid president. Fremont has established a police state in which civil rights have been suspended. Everyone spies on everyone else, coordinated by the paramilitary youth organization FAP (Friends of the American People). Anyone who disobeys is branded a member of “Aramchek”—a communist underground organization presumably fabricated by the regime. "

[–] nosuchanon@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

Ooh. Have to give that a read. A bit depressing given current events tho.

[–] savvie@lemmy.zip 2 points 5 days ago

The Homunculus has mumbled!!!

[–] whereitsat@lemmy.zip 2 points 6 days ago (1 children)

maybe this is a radical take, but i think it's funny that they call someone 'the border czar' with a straight face and then he doesn't even look like a hardass. he looks like some random fat dude that's melting from age, wearing a likely expensive suit that gives the impression it's an off the rack ensemble purchased at the men's wearhouse at a steep discount.

a perfect symbol for america.

stop worrying about it. these people already lost.

[–] savvie@lemmy.zip 1 points 5 days ago

a mumbling Homan-culus

[–] SnarkoPolo@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago (1 children)

This is our future. There's no revolution coming. No one will stop it. Get used to it and try not to get turned in by your MAGA neighbor.

[–] nforminvasion@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago

Your nihilism does nothing but feed their machine.

[–] ryokimball@infosec.pub 138 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Jesus fucking Christ. The article is worse than I thought. "Our guys are scared for their lives! Even though we are the ones doing all the murdering, we will have to murder even more of you if you don't start obeying us, though our instructions are clear as mud and we aren't even following our own laws!"

[–] hopesdead@startrek.website 88 points 1 week ago (2 children)

So basically shut up and let us keep breaking the law or you die.

[–] WizardofFrobozz@lemmy.ca -2 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Well, Americans are fucking cowards so this is absolutely how it will go- and then they’ll die anyway.

[–] Seppo@sopuli.xyz 4 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Not sure why you're being downvoted for being right. They can't shoot for shit either.

[–] WizardofFrobozz@lemmy.ca 3 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

There is nothing on earth more whiny, hostile, and overly defensive than a white American liberal on the internet being told to back up their stated values with action.

And the law breaking includes making people die. Also don't be anywhere near a live ICE because they might just do things like break into your home and that's your fault somehow.

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 89 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Ah, "this is your fault" stage of abuse.

“It all goes back to the Dems who want to continually attack ICE and tell people to evade them, tell people don't comply, tell people to resist, and tell people ICE isn’t a real law enforcement,” Homan said. “There's still going to be more bloodshed unless they shut their mouth and let ICE enforce the laws that they enacted.”

There will be more bloodshed until Democratic lawmakers and like-minded people abolish ICE

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 6 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

I'm honestly surprised how meek the resistance has been. Would have expected a driveby or two at least somewhere at some point over the last 2 years. Nope! No randos have just gone up to an ICE guy and popped them in the head. Makes sense for Stepford, but ICE in the hood?

“I’m scared to death because assaults with vehicles are sky high. There’s been a lot of shootings. I’m scared to death that one of these days, our ICE officers aren’t going to be quick enough. The bad guys can be quicker,” Homan told Fox News’ Laura Ingraham Wednesday night.

Playing the victim…presumption of guilt…claims with no evidence…yay fascism…

So he's literally saying the beatings will continue until morale improves‽

[–] CileTheSane@lemmy.ca 6 points 6 days ago

No, he's literally saying "the murders will continue"

Full stop.

Fuck you Homan, you're going to die in a cell in the Hague. This statement will be played back for you at your trial.
