Is it still a coup d’état if you have already completely changed the government? This is more an effort to solidify the change.
The man who has already attempted a coup
The man who has proven again and again that he will do just about anything to ensure he doesn't lose the majority he needs to not get impeached
The man who is a known compulsive cheater
The man who tried to call people to "find more votes" for him
The man who blatantly used jerrymandering to secure enough seats to maintain his majority
The man who knows damn well is in the gutters in the polls and who knows will never win the next election if it is fair.
You are asking if he is preparing a coup?
The outcome of the movie Titanic was less predictable than that.
If the voters sit it out again, whadyagonnadoaboutit? Those idiots own every single day of this term.
If the voters sit it out again
Supposedly.
I'm not entirely convinced they did last time. The elections are highly compromised.
We’ve had one coup attempt, yes, but what about second coup? Elevensies?
Yes, he is preparing another coup.

Actually it was 64, and he won one of them but it didn’t change any results.
…of 64 cases across six swing states brought forward by Trump and his supporters, all were lost except for one in Pennsylvania.
The successful case in Pennsylvania was procedural, not based on fraud, and had too few votes to overturn the state results, according to the report's authors.
Yep
Spew lies about election fraud
Then you can claim fraud - by your opponents regardless of election result
And then dismiss it and stay in power
Thats the plan i would guess
Of course he is.
Yes. Yes he is.
Trump's logic falls flat on its face, and even the most dimwitted magat can understand this:
If the US elections are fraudulent, then he won the presidency twice fraudulently.
Also, you'll notice he's not investigating the 2016 or the 2024 elections.
Not quite. They think all elections are rigged against them. When they win, they were popular and strong enough to win despite the rigging. When they lose, the enemy was evil enough to pull it off.
Can't lose logic.
...preparing? We've been living in a post-coup US since January 6 2021.
Remember that time when Trump marched his goons on Capitol Hill to attack the US government, then took over the US government?
Yeah, that's a fucking coup.
It was a stupid and poorly executed coup, but it ultimately led to the results he was after.
He tried it once already and was allowed to get away with it. So yes, he will try again.
Trump would NEVER try Something like that AGAIN After the HARSH Consequences LAST time! THANK you Merrick Garland!
We've had one coup, yes, but what of another?
Why there's a question mark in the headline?
Trump preparing a coup? Nah, he'd never do that. Where did you get that idea?
I don't think he'd fit in one. They're small cars.
Sounds French.
So does guillotine
Why is anyone surprised?
Oh, hows that mideast war going? Both of em
Yes
If there is fraud what the hell are troops at a polling station gonna do
Intimidate voters so they stay away, unless they are part of the cult
I attempted a coup last time, I can't say I'm surprised he's trying again.
We absolutely need to work as a community of devs, QA, PMs, etc to build a FOSS/federated election system to submit electronically at polling places.
No one can submit false ballots. No recounts, no padding numbers. They should tally real-time, and it should support rank-choice voting as an optional ballot (or survey) to really see how candidates do.
Wut
Doing it is easy, it's the certification that would be the hardest part.
