The coup, along with other nefarious plans, was prepared a looooonng time ago.

I'm not an expert but if I had to guess I'd say that the usa is about 60% through being completely overthrown. You've still got time to stop this insanity though.

The most hilarious, yet tragic, thing is you aren't being overthrown by a hostile foreign country. Or evil genius mastermind.
You are being taken over by an old dementia riddled pathological liar and narcissist, that paints itself orange who also raped/rapes children and women.

If I went back to the 90s and wrote a book about a 'rich' hitler loving nepo baby who raped kids becoming president of the us using Russian money, and then taking it over from the inside I would be laughed at. Not one publisher would touch me.
Hell, even if I got rid of the fat cunts 'greatest' hits of child rape, etc, and just focused on the failed reality TV 'star' and all the casino bankruptcies with the blatant corruption becoming president then no publisher would have touched me. Yet here we are.

"Is he preparing a coup?"

Stop asking questions when you already know the answer.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

He’s already the dictator. Any coup would need to be to remove him.

Sad to say, the coup has already happened. There are remnants of the judiciary holding out but the executive and legislative branches have both caved.

[–] Knock_Knock_Lemmy_In@lemmy.world 4 points 1 hour ago (2 children)

Bit caved?

Butt caved?

Bat caved?

[–] thatKamGuy@sh.itjust.works 3 points 54 minutes ago

Clearly it’s meant to be Brat Caved, ie. they ate Drumpf’s…

…🤢🤮

[–] Arancello@aussie.zone 1 points 26 minutes ago

This much was obvious.

I still think there will be a false flag blamed on Iran to cement the coup.

[–] CatGPT@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 2 hours ago

Need to form militias for when he does

[–] TomMasz@lemmy.world 7 points 1 hour ago

Is it still a coup d’état if you have already completely changed the government? This is more an effort to solidify the change.

[–] bacon_pdp@lemmy.world 4 points 1 hour ago

Really? The man can’t even handle losing in non-competitive golf and visibly cheats when tied or a stoke behind.

He is definitely going to steal the ballots

[–] Wataba@sh.itjust.works 2 points 57 minutes ago

The tankies should be happy he's emulating Russian elections.

[–] DaddleDew@lemmy.world 63 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

The man who has already attempted a coup

The man who has proven again and again that he will do just about anything to ensure he doesn't lose the majority he needs to not get impeached

The man who is a known compulsive cheater

The man who tried to call people to "find more votes" for him

The man who blatantly used jerrymandering to secure enough seats to maintain his majority

The man who knows damn well is in the gutters in the polls and who knows will never win the next election if it is fair.

You are asking if he is preparing a coup?

The outcome of the movie Titanic was less predictable than that.

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 6 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

If the voters sit it out again, whadyagonnadoaboutit? Those idiots own every single day of this term.

[–] OwOarchist@pawb.social 8 points 4 hours ago

If the voters sit it out again

Supposedly.

I'm not entirely convinced they did last time. The elections are highly compromised.

Actually it was 64, and he won one of them but it didn’t change any results.

…of 64 cases across six swing states brought forward by Trump and his supporters, all were lost except for one in Pennsylvania.

The successful case in Pennsylvania was procedural, not based on fraud, and had too few votes to overturn the state results, according to the report's authors.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 10 points 3 hours ago

Yes, he is preparing another coup.

[–] DrSleepless@lemmy.world 8 points 3 hours ago

We’ve had one coup attempt, yes, but what about second coup? Elevensies?

[–] leadore@lemmy.world 47 points 5 hours ago (1 children)
[–] TheKracken@lemmy.world 10 points 4 hours ago

Yes. Yes he is.

[–] ExtremeDullard@piefed.social 35 points 5 hours ago (2 children)

Trump's logic falls flat on its face, and even the most dimwitted magat can understand this:

If the US elections are fraudulent, then he won the presidency twice fraudulently.

Also, you'll notice he's not investigating the 2016 or the 2024 elections.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 3 points 53 minutes ago

He’ll claim he lost the 2016 election, so the term was invalid and therefore should be able to serve another term.

I swear some conservative “think tank” has seriously considered that approach.

[–] HumanOnEarth@lemmy.ca 35 points 5 hours ago

Not quite. They think all elections are rigged against them. When they win, they were popular and strong enough to win despite the rigging. When they lose, the enemy was evil enough to pull it off.

Can't lose logic.

[–] Racoonwithbenefits@lemmy.zip 3 points 3 hours ago

Yep

Spew lies about election fraud

Then you can claim fraud - by your opponents regardless of election result

And then dismiss it and stay in power

Thats the plan i would guess

[–] BigMacHole@thelemmy.club 12 points 5 hours ago

Trump would NEVER try Something like that AGAIN After the HARSH Consequences LAST time! THANK you Merrick Garland!

[–] BlameTheAntifa@lemmy.world 11 points 5 hours ago

He tried it once already and was allowed to get away with it. So yes, he will try again.

[–] Murse@slrpnk.net 8 points 4 hours ago

...preparing? We've been living in a post-coup US since January 6 2021.

Remember that time when Trump marched his goons on Capitol Hill to attack the US government, then took over the US government?

Yeah, that's a fucking coup.

It was a stupid and poorly executed coup, but it ultimately led to the results he was after.

[–] Sanctus@anarchist.nexus 17 points 5 hours ago

We've had one coup, yes, but what of another?

[–] ExtremeDullard@piefed.social 14 points 5 hours ago (2 children)

Trump preparing a coup? Nah, he'd never do that. Where did you get that idea?

[–] diablomnky@lemmy.world 4 points 5 hours ago

I don't think he'd fit in one. They're small cars.

[–] adespoton@lemmy.ca 4 points 5 hours ago (1 children)
[–] FistingEnthusiast@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago

So does guillotine

[–] Wispy2891@lemmy.world 3 points 4 hours ago

Why there's a question mark in the headline?

[–] deft@lemmy.wtf 2 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

If there is fraud what the hell are troops at a polling station gonna do

[–] FistingEnthusiast@lemmy.world 4 points 3 hours ago

Intimidate voters so they stay away, unless they are part of the cult

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 3 points 4 hours ago

Why is anyone surprised?

Oh, hows that mideast war going? Both of em

[–] Ozymati@lemmy.nz 2 points 4 hours ago
[–] unitedwithme@lemmy.today 2 points 5 hours ago (2 children)

We absolutely need to work as a community of devs, QA, PMs, etc to build a FOSS/federated election system to submit electronically at polling places.

No one can submit false ballots. No recounts, no padding numbers. They should tally real-time, and it should support rank-choice voting as an optional ballot (or survey) to really see how candidates do.

[–] one_old_coder@piefed.social 2 points 4 hours ago

Doing it is easy, it's the certification that would be the hardest part.

[–] ShutUpWesley@piefed.zip 1 points 4 hours ago

I attempted a coup last time, I can't say I'm surprised he's trying again.
