I can't remember where I heard it but some podcaster or youtuber pointed out that it's never been easier to have an alpha masculine job. In the past, you might be born into a class that meant you pretty much had to farm, but now anyone can join the police or the military, and yet a lot of these guys that are super concerned about the death of masculinity are not doing that.

Anyone who thinks farming is soft or feminine is ignorant.
It was in fact the movement from plows and lathes to keyboards and screens that have created entire industries for men to express their masculinity in their free time. Men who load 16 tons of coal don't go to the gym.
the point is more that no one is forcing these guys to become software engineers and go to the gym in their free time. They can do whatever they want for a living. But they don't.
Yeah, and what do they get?
Everyone I know who acts alpha about being in the military are the ones who never actually got deployed.
Yeah... For the most part, the ones who've actually been in the shit tend to be real quiet about it, not really wanting to talk about it even if asked directly.
The ones who will talk your ear off about their feats of badassery ... always turns out that they're somebody who flunked out of basic training, or somebody who spent 4 years shipping boxes back and forth in supply.
Some psychopaths end up loving it. There are the rare nutcases.
This dude would tell me his stories about the military and how he would randomly run into this other dude who would start talking about dead bodies, just very little respect for the dead, joke about people he killed. Maybe it was a coping mechanism, maybe he was a psychopath?
It reminds me of that scene in full metal jacket where they run into the guys who kept a dead vietnamese guy around, put a hat on him and joked about him.
I'm worried by the possibility of aquatic combat that occurs next to a raised walkway extending out from the shore. Near-pier warfare is no joke.
Wait until you hear about near-pear warfare.
me dressed up as a furry femboy for reason "you look really alpha bleeding out in my tiger trap. If you have enough testosterone you should be able to escape"
For most, some thrive in war which is arguably a much worse outcome.
can't slap something out that never been in
Is that investment advice?
