Ah, nice to know that he's rich enough to have that option.

[–] rumba@lemmy.zip 5 points 2 weeks ago

Calling McIntosh people might be the worst disservice here.

Those look like guineo or they could be plantains as well OR it could be really, really fresh bananas 🤷‍♀️. Nonetheless, this just proves that conservative republicans are ignant’ assholes.

More nutrient lower sugar bananas for me then

[–] Eh_I@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

And look how curvy they are. How is he going to stick that in his butt?

[–] A_Random_Idiot@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

The male hooker he engages at least twice a week has more of a curve than that banana. Its why hes a return customer, really crashes into his prostate like a semi-truck hitting a chihuahua

David M McIntosh: yessssss when my personal shopper drives directly to the market to get food, then delivers them to my butler, who hands them off to my complement of personal chefs. I assure you therey're nothing but the finest shade of yellow.

Yet they're the same people who will line up in droves at a freedom field station

Tell us that this McIntosh never saw a grocery shop from the inside without saying this literally.

I know they ripen much more after etc.

But I was wondering do you guys frequently buy them this green still? The ones on offer around me are way more yellow already.

Maybe it's a difference in how supermarkets in the USA vs Switzerland do logistics or something, that's why I'm asking.

[–] WolfLink@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 weeks ago

It varies. The bananas in the picture are particularly green though.

[–] Nouvellalia@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

I buy for my family of four for the week. I have to buy them in a gradient from just-ripe yellow, to green as can be. Every time I hit the store I buy some that are this green.

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 2 points 2 weeks ago

Estonian here, they usually show up moderately green in the store, oftentimes they'll still have the yellows from the last batch out when they bring in the fresh green ones. I prefer them a little green, I don't actually like yellow.

Just to add a data point, I don't know how green they come in the US

Also the ones on the photo are apparently plantains, which are much greener than cavendish bananas. Our regular bananas are never THIS green.

Now, the question is: does mr McIntosh know how apples work?

[–] Dryad@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

Yeah…they look like that half the time in Walmart, which is one of the largest beneficiaries of corporate welfare.
