The case originates out of Garfield County in Western Colorado. Tyler Boebert, 21, faces five counts in total: three charges of sexual exploitation of a child and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. All of the charges are felonies and are alleged to have happened in 2024.

The Denver Gazette has requested the arrest affidavit from the Garfield County courts. He was arrested last week by the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office.

This is not the first time Tyler Boebert has had a run-in with the law. He was arrested in 2024 and charged in connection with a string of thefts after he and several friends allegedly broke into cars and stole debit cards, gift cards and cash.

Tyler Boebert is scheduled to appear in Garfield County District Court on Aug. 19 and remains free on a $10,000 bond.

Trans people don't rape the children, they just support them in getting gender affirming care and surgical sex changes if they wish.

To Republicans that must seem like like setting up child rape land mines. No matter a persons biological vs chosen gender they would consider it gay to rape any trans child.

They can't tell by just looking, so as long as society accepts gender affirming surgery for any people under 18 Republicans have to be constantly worried that just going about their normal day they might inadvertently grab a child to bring to the nightly group rape and then end up with all of their buddies calling them gay.

It's always the ones you would most suspect.

Isn’t this just a Republican right of passage?

The same woman who jerked a man off in public? Her son has no sexual boundaries?! Shocker.

[–] Manjushri@piefed.social 17 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

Wait, is this her son with the man she married after he pulled his dick out in front of minors, including the then 17-year-old Bobert, in a bowling alley?

It appears that might not be the only thing about Jayson that Rep. Boebert doesn’t want the public to know. In January 2004, when Jayson Boebert was 24, he was arrested for exposing himself to two young women at a Colorado bowling alley. His future wife Lauren Roberts (as she was then known), who was 17 at the time, was also present and was told she was no longer welcome at the bowling alley.

Jayson Boebert pled guilty to “public indecency and lewd exposure” after that incident, according to The New York Post, and was sentenced to four days in jail with a subsequent two years on probation.

It's almost as if they were trying to raise a predator.

[–] MelodiousFunk@slrpnk.net 62 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Is this the son of the guy that exposed himself to girls in the bowling alley for fun?

[–] Blade9732@lemmy.world 56 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Exposed himself to underaged girls

One of those underage girls is his mother after she married her abuser. Generational paedophilia

A true Conservative in the Epstein tradition!

I expect Mommy will make a sizeable contribution to Trump's presidential library to secure a future pardon.

He is accused of having sexual intercourse with a 17-year-old girl when he was 18, according to Tyler Boebert’s arrest affidavit written by invesigators from the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office.

I mean, not quite the same. In most western countries this would not be news or a crime.

He has also been cited twice on misdemeanor child abuse charges, according to 9NEWS. Most recently in February, Tyler Boebert’s 2-year-old son wandered away from his mother’s home while he was allegedly watching the child.

And this one isn't Epsteinesq, though very troubling and would be the crimes.

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 18 points 1 day ago (2 children)

These are state charges, which means a different sovereign is prosecuting. Colorado is a blue state too. So, I wouldn't expect her money to get her anywhere in that light.

[–] Octavio@piefed.social 2 points 1 day ago

Yeah, but Trump has some kind of Kompromat on Governor Polis. He got him to give Tina Peters clemency.

[–] Crashumbc@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Money ALWAYS talks, especially in today's world, where bribes are publicly encouraged by conservatives.

[–] Abyssian@lemmy.world 29 points 1 day ago

It's not like he wanted to sexually exploit children, he's just trying to join his mom's party and that's how that works.

To join you need to sexually exploit kids, then every step up the ladder you need to do something worse to kids and if you hesitate they threaten to release the videos and images of the things you did on all the previous steps.

That's why by the time you hit Congress you're willing to sit there with tears streaming down your face and vote to confirm a horrible person as the Attorney General knowing they plan to help try to destroy the country. Years of videos and pictures of you raping and maybe killing and eating human children make sure you vote how you're told to vote.

Hooray for America!

I understand recording the act turns this into something serious, but I mean come on, it's an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old, having sex.

[–] Octavio@piefed.social 5 points 1 day ago

The recording and posting on the internet is the crime. The sex itself was not against the law and was not included in the charges.

In a vaccum, yeah no big deal, but the next few lines details the real problem.

The police first began investigating the incident in March 2024 after videos depicting the intercourse were shared publicly on an anonymous Instagram account. Several photos and videos were posted to the Instagram account depicting people having intercourse with minors or depicting minors nude or seminude. One of the videos featured Tyler Boebert.

Officers with the Silt Police Department, in Garfield County, questioned the girl shown in the video with Tyler Boebert in February 2024, shortly after the video was believed to have been filmed, according to the affidavit. That came after someone reported the Instagram account to police in Silt. The arrest affidavit, which is nearly 50 pages long, details the police’s investigation into the Instagram account and who created it.

Investigators allege that Tyler Boebert filmed the video and shared it with others and is suspected of creating the Instagram account that featured other explicit videos.

SEXUALLY ASSAULTING A CHILD? No WONDER why Republicans LOVE his Mother!

[–] PRIMEcavitationfetishist@quokk.au 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Kill your local pedophile, bobo. What's the issue?

[–] Abyssian@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I'd rather we all worked together to get rid of the ones running some countries first.

Yes but this one was really loud about it.

[–] Leviathan@fedinsfw.app 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Sexual predator son of a sexual predator.

[–] Manjushri@piefed.social 1 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

Of two sexual predators. See my other post in this thread.

[–] Leviathan@fedinsfw.app 2 points 16 hours ago

I forgot about the theatre incident!

Just for context, for those of us not reading the article.

There are plenty of other reasons he's a douche, though, which are also in the article... like sharing those videos without the girl's permission on Instagram.

[–] AdolfSchmitler@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The 18 year old banging a 17 year old is not the issue, that stuff happens all the time and some states even have "Romeo and Juliet" laws to protect people in that situation.

The issue is that he FILMED IT AND SHARED IT WITH FRIENDS WITHOUT HER CONSENT.

[–] NotMyOldRedditName@lemmy.world 2 points 22 hours ago* (last edited 22 hours ago) (1 children)

Would consent even matter given she was a minor? Pretty sure even with consent you cant do that if someone is a minor.

[–] AdolfSchmitler@lemmy.world 1 points 22 hours ago

I have no idea. That's why I didn't make a claim one way or the other. Some states have child marriage laws and other weird stuff i probably never heard of. I do know about the Romeo Juliet law thanks to Transformers 4 tho.

[–] taj@lemmy.world 25 points 1 day ago

And filming it. And distributing it.

[–] curbstickle@anarchist.nexus 15 points 1 day ago

You may want to keep on reading. There's more.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 0 points 1 day ago

Why is it stated like that?

He's a statutory rapist.
