That must have been a fun conversation when they found out they were on the sacrificial lamb plane

Karoline Leavitt, WH spokesperson, resigned yesterday. She had a baby in May and had already returned from maternity leave, but has now suddenly decided she wants to spend more time with family.

She was one of the staffers he left on the decoy.

We're all calling the old custom 747 -- the one with all the gov-spec classified countermeasures, the one that's cost us $2 billion, the one that's full of real human civilians -- we're calling that the "decoy plane" now.

[–] Blibly@lemmy.world 37 points 22 hours ago

The fake president is on his fake plane going to fake meetings. He's not in charge.

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 15 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

Hey good point actually, at least the sacrificial plane was a real "Air Force One" in its capabilities and defenses. Unlike the gold tchotchke plane. And I like thinking how uncomfortable the military plane probably was. The fact no attack happened suggests someone knew he wasn't on the sacrificial plane. Hegseth probably texted a friend about it. Loser Bone Spurs showing his true cowardice.

If you are the Iranian military, would you want your enemy to be led by Mr Trump or someone else?

[–] Cherries@lemmy.world 2 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Maybe someone else wouldn't bomb elementary schools. Sure it's a maybe, but maybe that's a worthy dice roll.

[–] Akh@lemmy.world 5 points 10 hours ago

Have you seen the republicans, the would bomb and rape elementary schools

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 3 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Haha, you thinking maybe there was no threat and someone just made a bet they could get him to cower in a lunch carrier?

[–] megopie@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago)

I saw a take that was just “he has no attention span, the only way to get him to care is to make it feel engaging and exciting”

And thus the idea of the attack was crafted to get him re-invested in the war. To make him see it as important and not just an annoying thing he wants to go away. And… given that kegseth went with him… yah… feels like a stunt.

The C32A, the plane Trump actually went on, pretty much has all of the same stuff as the VC25A. It's just based on Boeing 757, which is a single aisle airliner.

[–] cheers_queers@lemmy.zip 4 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

is he the most shot at president of all time by now? he's winning so big lol

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 4 points 13 hours ago

Only because his alleged assassins are so incompetent.

[–] kboos1@lemmy.world 16 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 9 hours ago) (1 children)

Trump the only president that has ever scurried away in fear in a food truck while probably boasting about how great he is to the DoW chief that has only lost wars, because they are losing a war to a country that they considered inferior.

Cowards

[–] shartgargle@lemmy.zip 6 points 15 hours ago

He's got a lot of records. Sleeping on camera, most corrupt, shitting his pants, lowest intelligence, orangest, and he's working on presiding over the most American deaths, and several more.

[–] Archangel1313@lemmy.ca 35 points 23 hours ago* (last edited 23 hours ago)

"Some of you may die, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make."

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 7 points 17 hours ago

Of course those two cowards cowered together

[–] MrSelfDestruct25@fedinsfw.app 9 points 19 hours ago

Kegsbreath was already in the catering cart eating carbs and drinking Jack

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 4 points 16 hours ago* (last edited 16 hours ago)

Presidents used to shake off bullet wounds to give speeches. Wtf happened?

[–] RunningInRVA@lemmy.world 20 points 22 hours ago* (last edited 22 hours ago)

You wonder if they even knew they were on the plane along with the expendables.

[–] charade_you_are@sh.itjust.works 7 points 18 hours ago

Heh, Hegseth is Trump's version of "the cool guy". Just when you thought the child rapist couldn't go any lower. Which one was I talking about. both

[–] humanspiral@lemmy.ca 5 points 18 hours ago (2 children)

I don't understand the security logic....

  1. We think this plane will be attacked
  2. fill it with people, plus senior officials, and send it on its merry way.
[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 5 points 16 hours ago

Trump only cares about Trump. At least it was a real Air Force One - worthy plane, so it's harder to shoot down than your average 747

[–] Grannymcgrannypants@lemmy.nz 7 points 18 hours ago

He doesn't give a shit if they die. He's got a line of scumbags waiting to jump in.

[–] Abyssian@lemmy.world 3 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Damn it, they need to stop splitting up. We need to get them, the Republicans in Congress, AIPAC Democrats, and at least half of the Supreme Court together. Hopefully some billionaires and tech industry leaders too.

Maybe a cruise? We could advertise some new giant boat as being unsinkable... oh, shit, the icebergs all melted.

[–] shartgargle@lemmy.zip 1 points 16 hours ago

Talk to bill burr and get it done.

[–] BrianTheeBiscuiteer@lemmy.world 8 points 22 hours ago

Stop teasing us with what might have been! My heart cannot take it!

[–] ReptilianCleric@lemmy.zip 6 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

So somebody told kegsbreath as a prank to see how far he'd take it? I mean, that's now my head canon regardless of what actually happened.

[–] VitoRobles@lemmy.today 4 points 20 hours ago

Ah Expendable Rubio. Catchy name.

[–] Professorozone@lemmy.world 1 points 21 hours ago

LOL. Even they know they can lose a few with no real consequences.
