Fake bite. The ground beef isn't compressed, as if pinched off by teeth.

Smh faux dangerous-dieters these days

Pop tare tare

That's basically a McGriddle.

Funny story. I have a friend named Jimmy. Once he came back from a trip to the Amazon rainforest. About a week after while showering he felt something wiggling around back there. When he tried to grab it he felt the worm go back up into his body ಠ_ಠ

We call him Earth Worm Jim now.

[–] MutantTailThing@lemmy.world 32 points 2 days ago (4 children)

Tapeworm eh? Easy way to get rid of those just eat eggs n bacon everyday for breakfast for a month straight. Final day of the month just eat eggs.

When the little bastard sticks his head out to complain about the lack of bacon you grab him and yank him out.

[–] Salamanderwizard@lemmy.world 19 points 2 days ago (1 children)

That's not where I saw this going. Ha

[–] NatakuNox@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

Check the username. It's 100% what a tapeworm would say.

[–] Gladaed@feddit.org 21 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

As a German I must sincerely condemn the bread type and ratio. Also: where are onions, salt and pepper?

Also use pork for God's sake

[–] rumschlumpel@feddit.org 1 points 21 hours ago* (last edited 21 hours ago) (1 children)

Also use pork for God’s sake

Meh, raw beef tartare is just fine, it's just usually completely unseasoned (in contrast to Thüringer Mett, which is pre-seasoned), so you need to add salt etc. yourself. It's really good with salt, pepper and lemon juice.

[–] Gladaed@feddit.org 1 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Mett is usually unseasoned as well and citrus juice is weird

[–] rumschlumpel@feddit.org 1 points 16 hours ago* (last edited 16 hours ago)

Don't knock it til you try it. Citrus juice is a great addition to many foods, and it's a classic with raw beef.

[–] bedwyr@piefed.ca 6 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Raw Pork? What about trichinosis?

Raw beef is generally safe, not so much ground beef because it's so industrialized it's pieces of thousands of cows so the risk of bad shit is higher. Plus every part has been exposed to the air and surfaces and could be contaminated.

But you can eat beef raw. I've done it, venison too. We were all warned against doing so with pork, or obviously poultry.

[–] woelkchen@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mett

It's a common fast food sold at butcher shops. Handling is not much different to sushi which you also wouldn't want to eat without proper refrigeration.

If it's not safe to eat in your country, your food hygiene laws are lacking.

[–] Gladaed@feddit.org 7 points 2 days ago (4 children)

Raw pork is generally safe too, if you have proper handling in place.

Poultry is... Not recommended outside of Japan.
