It’s Trump. No way did they get paid.
Nah, they got paid, they just had to kick a large amount back to the president, that's how it works now. The contract was given for like 3 no bid and prez then increased it to like 11 million or something unilaterally after the fact or something.
He's happy to pay when it's other people's money, i.e. the taxpayers.
The article says the installation is under warranty so they have to fix it/do it again.
Sounds like they wasted a lot of their resources in a subpar installation.
Everything I've heard says they were grossly underqualified to do the job in the first place. I don't expect the fix to be any better.

Well that's stupid. Everyone knows if work with Trump, do it as cheap and loose as possible with no warranty.

Ok but what’s even more curious is it seems they blamed the plan that they were hired to execute, not the plan they made.
The article claims the method they were hired to apply was developed / created by one of trumps golf course managers.
So like … they did it, and it didn’t work, but idk if they’re admitting they did a bad job. Sounds more like they’re saying we did the job, it was bad because the bad we were asked to do was bad.
If you're a professional and someone tells you to do something in your field but totally wrong, and you do it anyway knowing it will be bad. That's on you. Even if the money is good, you know the results will suck and it will come back to you.
I have come across this in all manner of jobs I have done, people insisting I do something wrong, and every time I followed direction I regretted it. Now I will walk before I do it wrong and get blamed.
But that's no excuse for these chodes, they got an 11 million dollar contract was it? And they didn't know you have to prepare the surface properly, clean the surface, sometimes apply a bonding agent. Everyone knows that that has every patched concrete or a hundred other jobs.
In Germany when working in construction and you get explicitly told to do something in a way that you know will lead to problems you make them sign of on your objections. It sounds tedious but it is worth it. So many bullshit decisions that would cost you or in the best case can be influenced by being very clear in your stance.

Those charged should sue this firm that did the job. They knew they fucked it up and let people be framed for it anyway. Framed in the most obvious, laughable accusations. The entire area is under camera, fed agents everywhere. If someone was cutting the pool for 150 feet with a tool, they would have known it, and they would have video.
Shame on the judge that didn't throw these out right away. Mehta was it? Mehta is a shit judge, I remember that name from the shit show of jan 6 prosecutions where they only charged the people (lightly charged,) that were identified by sedition hunters and the like.
