The man literally had a stroke that caused brain damage and he woke up a conservative. 🤷♂️
Wasn’t there a study on this - brain damage decreases empathy and so you become a conservative.
That would explain the rightwing shift that some people go through in their very old age.
Maybe conservatism is just an early sign of dementia or other kinds of brain damage.
I think a lot of that conservatism simply shows that they were always an awful person.
Like, when you're young and you have no money, if you're a greedy fuck, then you're a progressive. "I want other people to give me money."
But when you're old and you have already made your money, and you're still a greedy fuck, then you're a conservative. "I don't want to give my money to other people."
You don't really care about politics. You just care about yourself and your money.
I think sometimes people forget that, even if you're on the good team, you'll almost certainly have a lot of bad people on your team.

Blue team just needs to keep him in the party until the next election. Until then, he votes with the blue team on judge appointments over 95% of the time. If that's the only worthwhile thing he's gonna do I'll take it until he gets the boot. Red team isn't going to take him either. Sad how a brain injury can derail your life.

According to some, he was like this before the stroke. He was just against Dr. Oz at the time and he'll make anyone else look sane.

In a way, it makes sense. Same donors. Why wouldn’t some of them get bought off post election? The money in legislators is the entire game.
I’m not defending it, I’m pointing out how obvious it is that this would happen since most elections are oligarch influenced. Oh, the oligarch lost? Money just gets more direct now. Probably. To make sure each vote goes their way. No other reason for these anti-American assholes to switch party lines.
It’s probably why they’re so rabid about people like AOC, Bernie, and Mamdani. They can’t buy them off.

Something that's become readily apparent since Trump's first term is that many people are just slow as fuck to notice blatantly obvious things.

People should be able to not just have a politician recalled. If you get enough signatures, you should be able to have them executed for treason at the State level. Id say put it on every election ballot, should the current or previous house of this office be investigated for treason?
