Trump is not an anomaly in the systems we live under. He is the logical outcome.

America isn't like it is because of Trump. Trump is like he is because of America.

The only difference is I have some hope for Americans to wake up and change things. Israelis are awake. They spent the last 3 years within walking distance to a genocide. I don't think there is hope there beyond the world and a coalition of the willing enforcing it.
What his voter care about is abortion, gays, trans, and illegal immigrants. Also they are tired of all the factories closing and moving to china, but that is secondary to the other 4.
If it’s not those issues, then trump can do anything he wants as far as they are concerned. They may grumble about gas and inflation but his approval is pretty mush stuck at 37%.

His approval rating actually did drop below 30% as of last week. Unless we're looking at Florida specifically.
Another way of saying that is that he's lost about 40% of the people that once supported him.
There will always be a cult. Trump supporters at this point are cult members. There is nothing to be said to them.
The focus is on convincing those 40% that cheaper gas, healthcare, affordable groceries, etc are more important than their fear of trans people. And they already agree with us. They are the ones that voted for Trump because they heard from their cult member coworker that he would be.
What do I think of trans girls in high school sports? I DON'T. And you fucking don't either. I think about if all the kids in highschool sports live in a family that can feed them. That can afford to send them to college. That can afford critical healthcare. And, if you care about those things too, you're gonna have to shut the fuck up about trans girls. Trans kids are gonna play sports. Deal with it. Because the only people working towards all those other things that you ACTUALLY care about are gonna make sure trans people have healthcare and are treated fairly too.
If I could say that in a politician style way. I'd go run for office somewhere.
I love it when my brother, who as far as I know almost never watches sports, complains about a trans woman winning the prize a 'real woman' should have received, with the whole "It should be illegal" attitude. Dude, we don't have a whole lot of laws concerning who can play sports in the first place, most of those are around discrimination, and you never would have watched that woman compete for the medal anyway! Why are you upset about this? 🙄
