I'm under the impression many Europeans mistake Romanis for Romanians. This could be one of the reason I Romanians are very harsh towards their Romani minority (so I heard): they don't want the stigma of "the country of thieves". But I obviously disagree with the stereotype that all Romani are thieves.

Let's imagine, purely hypothetically, that there's a minority that has big issues integrating into host society and that some aspects of their culture are not compatible with laws and local way of living.
Is it possible to talk about it in a non-racist way? If yes, how should it be done? Or are we simply required to pretend the issue doesn't exist?
