Don’t worry he’s typing up a very stern response that will be sent out after Christmas.

For context, Marjorie Taylor Greene has said more in Omar's defense than Schumer.

[–] thermal_shock@lemmy.world 3 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

She's trying to make her own persona/platform/character, so she's craving attention hardcore.

[–] pjwestin@lemmy.world 4 points 2 hours ago

For sure, and don't get me wrong, this is meant as a condemnation of Schumer, not praise for Greene.

[–] jaykrown@lemmy.world 10 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Schumer is the epitome of the establishment.

[–] DebraBucket@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

To be fair, Trump is intentionally doing this at this time to try to distract from the high gas prices, grocery prices, etc, his war caused. Immigration is, sadly, the thing he polls the best on, especially in red states. Republicans are desperately defending senate seats in red states like Texas, Alaska, Nebraska, and more. The more we talk about immigration, the less gas prices will be on past Republican voters minds, the more likely they will be to go out and vote for Republicans.

Schumer would love to have Democrats or Independents that caucus with Democrats in states like Texas, Alaska and Nebraska. Remember it will be 6 years before they are up for election again, that’s a long time to have these seats. This also may be a once and a lifetime chance for Democrats to get seats in states like these, unless Trump is stupid enough to keep the Iran War going through another couple of election cycles.

This is like the 2006 midterms under Bush. 2006 flipped a bunch of Senate seats, then 2008 flipped even more, and the Democrats ended up with 59 seats, and a Republican flipped to give Democrats 60 which enabled them to override the filibuster without completely ending the filibuster.

I'll say a few words: fuck, shit, dammit

[–] thermal_shock@lemmy.world 1 points 2 hours ago

Nah, fuck chuck shitbird

[–] geneva_convenience@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 hours ago

Why would he the DSA squad will endorse him anyways.

[–] ZombieMantis@lemmy.world 4 points 3 hours ago

Why would Israel's controlled opposition in their colonial-occupational government openly oppose the deportation of his enemy? Of course he is rejoicing with his fellow Epsteinite-unipartymen, raping children and drinking their blood on some new private island.

Chuck is as much an enemy of the people as Trump, but more insidious than outright evil, by presenting himself as an ally to and leader of the left-wing. He's nothing more than a bulwark for the Zionazis and a concierge to the other powerbrokers.

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 16 points 5 hours ago

Of course not. Its his full time job to "fight for aid to Israel, all the aid it needs", he said so himself. He doesnt care at all about Omar, or any of us --except maybe as sources of funds.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 8 points 4 hours ago

Schumer has an "Israel-first" mindset.

[–] TheStaffmaster@lemmy.world 9 points 4 hours ago

The guy's a DINO, both literally and figuratively. SMDH...

[–] thorhop@sopuli.xyz 13 points 5 hours ago (7 children)

Well Zionists hate all Arabic people, so...

[–] gAlienLifeform@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago

Can't agree there, the government of Israel has gotten along really well with the government of Saudi Arabia for example. If you murder journalists and protesters and otherwise repress dissent they will try to work with you.

He is a total scumbag.

[–] TrackenDaKracken@lemmy.world 6 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

One more reason to support term limits for Congress.

Yes, we'd lose a few of the "good ones", but it would keep corrupt fucks like Chuck from staying in power too long. The net positives would far outweigh the net negatives.

The problem isn't that he's 75, the problem is he's been in office almost 30 years. He's corrupt and he has the support of a corrupt machine.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 4 hours ago

I still am baffled by how people think term limits will do anything to help.

[–] Smeagol666@crazypeople.online 22 points 9 hours ago

Because he's a scumbag AIPAC shill, like most politicians in the US.

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 20 points 9 hours ago (3 children)

Old guys who are entrenched, whether democrat or republican, should finally get the hell out of dodge and let the next generation take over.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago

People like JD? He's the "next generation", I guess. Or a few generations down, actually. He's Gen Y.

Not sure what age has to do with it. Or the number of terms.

The answer is to primary fuckers like this with someone better. No matter how old they are.

[–] Fartemis@lemmy.zip 2 points 5 hours ago

We give them the option to take what they have and cut ties with the rest. If they go out kicking and screaming, SEIZE IT ALL!

This, especially for all the Republicunts with heavy ties in the current admin. Lay it out and give it to them like this. Look, we know for the last couple years during Trump, your finances have grown exponentially. Through wildly illegal means. So, it goes like this, you forfeit all of your ill gotten gains and walk away peacefully. We remove all the bullshit laws that were created and disperse the money towards the deficit and less fortunate. if you have one negative thing to say, just one! WE TAKE IT ALL! And you get to meet Mr. Guillotine!

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago) (1 children)

They wont. They will need to be dragged out kicking and screaming. Very few of them seem to be honorable or decent people.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 4 hours ago

Voters can always vote them out.
