He could have 0% approval and he will still do whatever he wants. And tbh he will never get to 0% because his cult will ride maga all the way to the bottom.

[–] TheRiskiestBiscuit@reddthat.com 3 points 51 minutes ago

Hell yeah. Let’s give them a good “reckoning”. Let’s shake all our fingers at them at once. Maybe that’ll do the trick.

[–] X@piefed.world 2 points 39 minutes ago

Didn’t matter, voted against the conservatives anyway. I deplore the bullshit the democrats are doing, but I can’t think of a rational reason to vote against the welfare of the marginalized.

[–] BauerBender@lemmy.world 55 points 3 hours ago (3 children)

This is propaganda to get Dems to stay home. Every election since trump’s been around has had the same bullshit

I just commented this elsewhere, but I'll hijack this comment to post it again:

Do NOT let this information let you get complacent. He may be unpopular, but the idiots who love him WILL GET OFF THEIR ASSES TO VOTE. The only way to beat him is if everyone who hates him ALSO GETS OUT TO VOTE. Saying "oh nobody likes him, I don't need to go vote, he won't win anyway" is exactly how we got him the first two times and (partly) how he keeps getting more power

Yup, it’s the exact same propaganda trap that Hillary’s campaign fell prey to. Leading up to the vote with her and Trump, a large part of her campaign messaging had basically been “we’ve got this, he’s an idiot, he has no chance, he’s such an awful candidate.”

And then about a month before the election, there was a hard pivot when they realized they had lulled their voters into a false sense of security. The messaging suddenly changed from “we’ve got this” to “oh for the love of god, please go vote.” But it was too little, too late.

I think they seriously underestimated and still do just how many people actually swapped from Bernie to Trump.

its a smokescreen so when they rig the election again with Elon its because the dems didnt show up and not because votes were purged

[–] DjangoFett@lemmy.zip 2 points 19 minutes ago

No, they were stolen from the post office, it doesn't count as a purge if you can't prove that I ordered it do- I mean that it wasn't just a freak accident that nobody could possibly have predicted would happen in an important swing district.

Trump supporters are literally out there crediting him with successfully lowering gas prices, this is happening right now, today. They are in a completely different reality from us. Dont buy this hype from the media corpos for a second (all of which are controlled by Larry Ellison, famed Zionist, who would obviously love to keep the current power structure.)

[–] joekar1990@lemmy.world 28 points 3 hours ago

Can only hope people actually get out to vote and aren't false answering the polls.

[–] wirebeads@lemmy.ca 10 points 3 hours ago (3 children)

I’m not sure it matters if people vote in the Democrats into power. Trump will neither accept the results, will invalidate the results, or will create some kind of emergency where the actual midterms will be upended.

There’s no way the Trump regime / project 2025 will give up their currently held power they’ve been striving to get for years.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.social 3 points 35 minutes ago* (last edited 12 minutes ago)

It really matters if people vote and they should vote democrat.

[–] subverted_per@lemmy.blahaj.zone 25 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Yes. Thats the point. The more people vote the harder itnis for them to fudge the numbers. Voting is step one, the least you can do. When they inevitable try to rat fuck the election, it will be so obvious, and give everyone a reason to join the protest. Then we shut things down like the french.

[–] Triumph@fedia.io 11 points 1 hour ago

Also, don't capitulate because you're sure they're going to do some fuckery. Make them actually do it.

[–] Today@lemmy.world 11 points 2 hours ago

First step is voting!

[–] Astronut@lemmy.zip 3 points 3 hours ago

Fuck Trump and all those traitorous fuckers to the highest of fuckativity!
