Donald Trump is a “puppet” to psychopathic traits that are likely to become even more dangerous if Republicans suffer a bruising defeat in next month’s midterm elections, a leading clinical psychologist has warned.

Dr. Vincent Greenwood, director of the Washington Center for Cognitive Therapy, also believes the president’s danger is underestimated and warrants invoking the 25th Amendment.

Doesn't matter to Republicans though -- foreign (Xi, Bibi, Putin) and domestic (Musk, Thiel, etc.) -- that just makes him easier to control.

This is all about every benefactor who contributed to Trump's dodging of prison and reelection getting their payout in one form or another.

And why do blue-collar maga not care, you ask? Well decades of undermining education, increasing their work hours, distracting them with bullshit and sports and identity issues and drugs and the giant propaganda speakers of billions of dollars of money (again foreign and domestic) means it's very... Very hard for these people to unplug themselves from The Matrix and to see reality for what it is. Trump said, "I love the poorly educated" and "Smart people don't like me" for a reason of course.

All Republicans are opportunists who will gladly use this to their advantage.

It'll be like Game of Thromes but with a superficilal veil of civility.

Crazy how this gets more attention as the 2 year mark grows closer. Vance is creaming his pants about the 10 years of hell he has planned for women and minorities.

[–] Exeous@lemmy.world 13 points 1 hour ago (2 children)

Vance worse then Trump

Need remove Vance first

[–] Malica@lemmy.zip 4 points 42 minutes ago

The whole administration is illegitimate if we're being honest, if biden wasn't a traitor he would have found evidence even with a cursory glance.

[–] Stormy@thelemmy.club 14 points 1 hour ago

100%. Ain't happening though.

No one can do anything, and no one is willing to do anyhting.

[–] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 3 points 37 minutes ago

Aye. We know.

[–] Malica@lemmy.zip 3 points 43 minutes ago

Morons don't care because morons think they know better. You'll find this a common theme thought history's worst mistakes.

Congress needs an Executive Babysitting Committee where they bring in Trump for questioning and answering to his administration's crimes every day with a rotating inquisitor. That should occupy him enough to keep him from doing dumb shit because on the weekend he'll only have energy to go golfing.

[–] Malica@lemmy.zip 5 points 39 minutes ago

He's not behind the dumb shit he's doing now. He signs what's put in front of him and those doing the putting won't be distracted.

[–] Chronographs@lemmy.zip 4 points 58 minutes ago

He just wouldn’t show up and they would be too scared to drag him in

“The clinical psychopath is just...

Not a real thing...

Like, it's just literally not a real thing. If trump actually had ASPD (anti social personality disorder) he wouldn't be this evil or do this much damage. And he'd be biochemically incapable of being racist, but he's definitely fucking racist.

Any doctor talking about psychopath 13 years after it was removed from the DSM shouldn't be listened to, even if they're saying what we want to hear

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 9 points 1 hour ago (2 children)

Why are people with ASPD incapable of being racist?

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 1 points 3 minutes ago

The same thing (oxytocin) that causes innate in-group loyalty also makes you hate everyone not in that in-group:

https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s12552-020-09303-2

People with ASPD given oxytocin, start to act "normal", even though that's not always positive:

https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/psychiatry/articles/10.3389/fpsyt.2019.00076/full

Oxytocin does a shit ton of stuff, and there's a huge range of variation. Shouldn't need to mention this everytime neurotransmitters and/or hormones come up, but just to be safe: nothing is binary, everything is a spectrum.

But someone with actual ASPD who isn't just a selfish dick, just doesn't have it in them to really be racist or judge any demographic with any sort of bigotry.

They have no "us" in-group they're implicitly loyal too, so everyone else is "them" which make them equal.

[–] the_q@piefed.social 7 points 1 hour ago

Don't listen to this person.

[–] Malica@lemmy.zip 4 points 40 minutes ago

Trump is a malignant narcissist and an argument can be made for those being worse.

[–] daychilde@lemmy.world 4 points 57 minutes ago (1 children)

Not reading that. Daily Beat is a shitty shitty source.

I don't disagree with this headline, but I was mainly opening article to see if they addressed the fact that doctors are bound not to diagnose without seeing the patient, so while it is probably true, it's wrong of doctors to say. Btu seeing the source, no thanks.

[–] hal_baleigh@piefed.social 4 points 37 minutes ago* (last edited 37 minutes ago)

Any article that mentions his age in the headline is clickbait bullshit and I ignore it immediately.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 4 points 1 hour ago

He’s a puppet to more than that

[–] yonderbarn@lazysoci.al 2 points 1 hour ago

Unless he's dead nothing changes.
