It was supposed to be a little over half somewhere between 1/2 and 7/10..... that's why they called it the 3/5 compromise.

I live in Missouri and I still remember the Dem nominee for the, I believe, Senate running ads about how he's what conservatives used to be or some shit. Like dude nobody who would support a conservative would vote for a Dem openly admitting to being part of the other side when they can just keep having Hawley.
