7-Zip has long replaced WinZip and WinRAR for me.

I got an honest chuckle out of it. But yeah, it really sucks for people surfing the net today and within the past 10 years. People like me who've been around for 30+ years, just sulk in depression for the state its become, remembering simpler days.
It's how I feel deeply about social media's existence. Facebook, Reddit, MySpace, Twitter .etc weren't 'evil' just for simply being made and standing on its own. It needed fuel and that fuel is in the form of the many thousands to millions of people who've used them for years.
And those same people have turned around and now put blame on said social media sites for how bad they've become. Never caring to realize that they majorly were built that way off the behaviors of what people did and continue to do on there.
These guys are a bunch of morons. All of the comments here are proving as to why.
- Associates with AI
- Wants money to use it
- Doesn't factor that Twitter might not entirely be available after all
- Uses Musk's other imprints, like Grok, on it which may subject them to fail
- More centralized social media is not what we need
I'll give it a few months before they actually are sued into oblivion, to which they'll have the biggest pikachu shocked faces possible.
Which is what could get them lawsuits. Such a dumb move.
Meta maintained throughout the brief trial that it had worked extensively over the years to make its platforms safer for its youngest users, pouring resources into testing and research, and building new features.
No, you've made it a pain in the ass process to delete a facebook account. I've counted, you have to go through almost 5 prompts to finally delete an account. It's simpler on mobile, by about 2 extra steps shorter, but that indicates that no, you did not work extensively to make it safe if you can't make deleting easier.
"YouTube said the hike will “allow us to continue to improve Premium and support the creators and artists you watch on YouTube.”
Bullshit, bullshit and more bullshit. They say that every single time they raise the prices. It's the same dogshit excuse.
I think PeerTube should be for hobby purposes. I mean, here's where I am coming from. I am from a period of the internet, where you were not meant to be e-famous. I still at times, believe this. Look at what happened when the idea of the tiniest bit of fame and success people allow to get to their heads when they realize that they can just make videos and profit off of them.
"I bought a brand today!"
"Woah! So did I!"
"I'm so happy this brand has made my life!"
"Yeah! So it has mine!"
Fucking riveting stuff there.
It's just hard to convince people to try alternatives at all. Once they've dug deep into something they want to use, they won't budge.
