Right. Conservatism is about hierarchy. Hierarchy is good and natural. You get shit on by your betters, and you get to shit on your lessers. Trying to change that is horrifying. It's going to mess up the world! And if hierarchy isn't good and natural, then all the suffering I experienced was unjust, and all the cruelty I inflicted was mere cruelty. Can't have that. I'm a good person who deserves my lot in life. Even if it's not royalty. There have to be royals.

It's a shit world view built on cruelty and cowardice.

I'm pretty sure fraud is already illegal and most people don't consider those laws a dangerous stifling of free speech.

Well, yeah. Conservatives will say anything to advance their goals. Doesn't need to be true or consistent with previous statements. They're bad people.

I read a blog post once about that. If I recall, it made the argument that conservatism is fundamentally about hierarchy and abuse. Child abuse is about hierarchy and abuse. It's thus not surprising they go together.

The blog was more sophisticated than my memory of it, of course.

Rich people are stupid.

You know how someone who plays a shooter using an aim-bot and god-mode is going to be bad at the game? Same principle. They have money, they don't have to really struggle or practice, they never get good.

I always thought that kind of social media was a recipe for bad times. Alas, most people don't care or think much, so here we are.

I did that once for some big assignment. I got a B and a "you can do better" from the teacher.

My current cat does not help with bugs. One time a giant centipede looking thing came into the bedroom, on the ceiling. He looked at it, got up, and left the room.

I see a lot of Nirvana shirts on the youth and I'm never sure if they like the band or just the shirt, either.

I did see a blue-haired youth with a My Chemical Romance shirt the other day and I'm pretty sure they were a sincere fan, though.

It's all projection. They have poor empathy and don't understand other people, so they just imagine themselves.

This doesn't matter much if they don't change their voting patterns.

The kind of people who respond to facts are already not voting Republican, or are assholes.

Facts don't matter. Emotions do. People are emotionally invested in the mythology of the Republican party.

The opposition need to work on their own mythology.
