People probably say that about asbestos too.

Very possibly so. I'm also not a huge believer in the sanctity of lore when you are adapting something to a different medium. IE, didnt miss Tom Bombadil in the Lord if the Rings movies so I'm pretty easy going as long as the adaptation is good in its own right.

Tap for spoilerBut seriously though, fuck Bran. Terrible character, just completely uninteresting and ~~lame~~ uncool from the word go. Gets Hodor killed, somehow through unexplained time travel causes Hodor's "hodor" problem. A girl takes him all the way through the frozen north just for him to say, bye now! Trash character. Ser Davos should have been King at the end.

Same here just finished it a few weeks ago.

I never read the books but for my money I thought the last season was really good. It maybe didnt end the way I wanted it to but it wasnt a bad ending by any means.

This article is pretty disingenuous. I would have expected CNBC to actually bring up economic factors at play besides just inflation.

For instance, tarrifs on imported goods raising the price of food packaging, rising fuel costs that have almost doubled the freight cost in just the last 12 months and also most importantly, the blatant gouging that the 4 food producing conglomerates have been perpetuating on consumers since 2022.

1 company makes all the crackers, all the crackers are expensive. All the chicken produced goes through 2 companies, what incentive do they ever have to lower prices again. Just double the cost, sell half as much but also cut production cost in half and suddenly you are making a bigger profit than before. Poor people can't afford to buy anything you make anymore? Oh well, line is going up!

Blu ray discs cost pennies to manufacture, especially at scale.

Also, Sony owns the blu ray IP.

Also also, if they gave a fuck they could just ship 2 discs in a box. Like they did at the tail end of the xbox 360 days.

They'd just rather not deal with it anymore.
