Do you actually use your microwave to find out what time it is?
Uh, yeah, it's got a built-in clock.
Mine does too but even though it (and my oven) tell the time I look at my watch, phone, or the dedicated clock in my living room
it's not just about the microwave returning to clock function. It's also about the microwave being returned to it's normal standby state so that pushing the buttons functions as expected for the next person.
Does your stove not have a clock? They're fairly standard now
