Nah.

Things are definitely going to get interesting in the coming months and a false flag operation is absolutely on the table

However, I don't think they would bother with something this pathetic at this time. They weren't even shooting at the pres this time. This isn't going to rate a blip and no one will remember it when they go to vote in the mid terms.

Think more like the 9/11 attacks but with less regard for human life, human suffering, and something that will stoke hatred for years and decades. For example, a dirty bomb in California.

Edit: Sorry I've changed my mind. Earlier I was thinking the motivation would be Trump's popularity generally. However, if the motivation is to build the ballroom then that changes things significantly. It seems likely that this was staged to substantiate a claim that the ballroom is required for security reasons.

It's to justify the building of the ballroom that they now "need" to keep everyone safe.

“What happened last night is exactly the reason that our great Military, Secret Service, Law Enforcement and, for different reasons, every President for the last 150 years, have been DEMANDING that a large, safe, and secure Ballroom be built…

This would never have happened in my planned Militarily Top Secret Ballroom”

Yeah maybe. This one is still pretty sussy to me though. The press conference 30 minutes later where they're all laughing and chumming it up, showing absolutely no fear or any semblance of distress, coupled with the very unified messaging about how this latest attempt makes the White House ballroom all the more important. I don't actually think this is some elaborate plot to win back the public's favor or even anything sinister, like an attempt at justifying martial law. I think it's very obvious what this was, because they told us directly. I think this is them trying to get that ballroom lawsuit dismissed so that Trump can continue his personal bunker project. Not because he thinks he needs a bunker mind you - because all the other billionaires have one, Trump is too cheap to pay for his own, and he can have this one built on the taxpayers' dime.
