Tbf, we never had anything to gain, or even any stated objectives afaik.
Got people off that damn Epstein for a couple of months. What's a couple of thousand people, a girls school, and some soldiers, when compared to the embarrassment of the president?
It's like watching someone on a probably fatal bender. Making bad decision after bad decision until there's only one way to go.
