Nah it's the whole ceremony of closure thing that costs so much. Serial killers do it all the time for the cost of a piano wire or whatever.

Death is free. Disposal of corpses can be expensive.

As someone whose first job was with the worst cemetery company in the northern hemisphere, don’t fall for the biggest scams, where they’ll charge your grieving loved ones for silk pillows and hermetic sealing.

Donate yourself to science. It’s free, and you can help med students learn. It’s not like you need your body once you’re gone, and a home shrine is better than taking up physical space that people will forget to care for or winding up in a vase at goodwill.
