Im convinced posts like this are pro trump propaganda

[–] dohpaz42@lemmy.world 30 points 6 days ago (1 children)

It is possible, and encouraged, to call your party out on their bullshit. Criticism is a very important tool in democracy.

Did you miss the whole debacle of "we'll never cave without ACA subsidies being extended" immediately preceding caving without extended ACA subsidies? That's far from the only example of such behavior. In fact, I'd say the only anamoly in that situation was the strong stance Dems took before reverting to their usual cowardly selves.

TBF... it's looking like there will in fact be a vote to extend, which will likely pass thanks to some R that are not fully MAGA

[–] TheFogan@programming.dev 4 points 6 days ago (1 children)

am I missing this article, last I heard, trump was talking about extending the cuts... followed by Mike Johnson saying no we aren't interested in that at all.

Which then I guess further follows up the question, does Mike Johnson even need to bring it up to a vote at all? Like hypothetically even if they whip the votes and get 10 republicans to defect... would anything actually force johnson to bring it to a vote at all?

My gift, fellow Fedizen

Once Foes of Obamacare, Some Republicans Push to Protect It Nov. 25, 2025

A small cadre of politically vulnerable Republicans in Congress is breaking with the party to push for the extension of health care tax credits for a program the G.O.P. reviles.

awesome good to know, fingers crossed this is actually a direction that may happen. still have to question if it's enough to force johnson to bring it to the vote, and possibly needs a fillibuster breaking majority. (before we even talk about the senate).

All I see is that you guys complain that democrats don’t fight back against trump and the moment one does, you guys tear them down and shit on them. I see Trump being a dictator and you guys still blaming democrats, the Dems you refused to vote for. All I saw was you guys demand the old white man step down, and the moment you saw him replaced with a black woman you all went “eeew I rather have trump” And these posts just say “I still prefer trump”

[–] krashmo@lemmy.world 15 points 6 days ago (1 children)

The people you're talking about in this post are all different people with different points of view. You're the only one combining them into a single nebulous idea of a person.

[–] But_my_mom_says_im_cool@lemmy.world -1 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Im ok with combining all Americans into a single nebulous moron, i accept that

[–] butwhyishischinabook@piefed.social 7 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Much like I'm willing to combine all of your posts into a single, nebulous centrist whine.

[–] But_my_mom_says_im_cool@lemmy.world -3 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Im so far left of you that you think im centrist lol

American leftists are so rock chewing stupid that ANY dissenting opinion they call centrist or right wing. You’re a bunch of morons and true leftists around the world know it. You guys think being left is shitting on others on the left to the benefit of trump, by the way trump is the american lefts fault

[–] butwhyishischinabook@piefed.social 5 points 6 days ago (1 children)

"True leftists"

proceeds to insist that any criticism of moderate democrats is Trump propaganda

[–] But_my_mom_says_im_cool@lemmy.world -4 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Last thing im gonna do is debate politics with Americans. Your guys idea of a leader is Donald Trump

[–] butwhyishischinabook@piefed.social 3 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Oh please, go push more Brown people into the Mediterranean to drown while you accuse everyone else is being intolerant.

[–] Rhoeri@lemmy.world 0 points 6 days ago

Spot-fucking-on!

[–] Rhoeri@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago

Yeah. Same. We saw a lot of this during the election. MAGAbots were posting like crazy!

[–] butwhyishischinabook@piefed.social -1 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Yeah because you think literally everything that isn't your own take is Trump propaganda 🙄

These posts only benefit trump
