The left broadly throwing away the flag and spitting on the country is what allowed actual political capital to empower the worst people.

Armed groups of dumb patriots are the most powerful force on Earth for political change going back thousands of years.

If we really cared about pushing this thing back on the tracks we would organize, grab American flags, link hands with people we don't agree with, open-carry AR's and stop whinging about who has the most inclusive twitter history.

When America's largest segment and holders of most of the non-billionaire wealth look out at the world and they need to decide who to hand power to, they are faced with two choices: a band of hateful orcs but ones carrying the flag that represents stability and comfort, and promising to fight and die for that flag, or a band of well-meaning but naive youngsters who spit on the flag and demand some kind of abstract change, they make a predictable choice.

The left and progressives broadly want the best outcomes but need to understand power and learn to embrace power. We don't topple systems without either an army or political capital. What political capital do we have? Where is our army?
