Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

Rudy Giuliani is recovering from a fractured vertebra and other injuries following a car crash in New Hampshire, a spokesperson for the former New York City mayor said Sunday.

Giuliani’s vehicle was struck from behind while traveling on a highway Saturday evening, according to a statement posted on X by Michael Ragusa, Giuliani’s head of security.

“He sustained injuries but is in good spirits and recovering tremendously,” Ragusa said, adding: “This was not a targeted attack.”

Giuliani, 81, was taken to a nearby trauma center and was being treated for injuries including “a fractured thoracic vertebrae, multiple lacerations and contusions, as well as injuries to his left arm and lower leg,” according to Ragusa.

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 43 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I hope the cars not too badly damaged.

[–] chemical_cutthroat@lemmy.world 19 points 11 months ago

Won't someone think of the roads?

[–] bluesheep@sh.itjust.works 5 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Can you imagine getting up from a car crash and seeing this ghoul? I'd think I'd have died and gone to hell

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 11 months ago

I'd be fearfully looking around for my own body, if that thing stood up from the wreck.

I'm amazed he can even afford a spokesperson at this point... let alone a car.

[–] adespoton@lemmy.ca 33 points 11 months ago

Four Seasons Landscaping is representing him for free following his bang up ad campaign he did for them for free.

[–] Envy@fedia.io 47 points 11 months ago

“Sir, a second Honda has now crashed into Rudy’s car.”

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 11 months ago

Stop hitting the car, FFS. 🤌🏼

Is there a place accepting bets on his BAC%?

[–] MagicShel@lemmy.zip 13 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I think in his case it's ABC. The blood content in his alcohol.

[–] Boddhisatva@lemmy.world 4 points 11 months ago

Yeah, he probably had too much blood in his alchohol system.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago

I bet it was non-zero, but he was not driving anyway.

[–] blackbearjesus27@lemmy.world 15 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I’m honestly shocked he had a spine to break /s

No one deserves to get hurt in an accident. That’s about all I can say.

[–] Steve@startrek.website 5 points 11 months ago

Some people deserve to be hurt intentionally

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 10 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I hope he has a slow agonizing descent.

[–] oddspinnaker9295@lemmy.world 1 points 11 months ago

Nah, some people keep living to easily disprove the existence of a caring god.

The people supporting them are the ones who consider themselves religious, after all.

[–] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 8 points 11 months ago (1 children)

He's best known for giving a press conference at Four Seasons Landscaping.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 10 points 11 months ago (2 children)

The one near the dildo emporium?

[–] DickFiasco@sh.itjust.works 8 points 11 months ago

That's the one.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 7 points 11 months ago

Everything about that stupid press conference was....chef's kiss...when it came to the hilarity.

That's when we also learned that the election was called for Biden, too, and that Dementia Donnie lost. Seeing Roodles reaction to that was just so very perfectly illustrative of everything about how the unhinged right deals with reality, factual reporting and losing.

Not to mention the fact that I don't think any apparatchik officially apologized or explained just how the hell they ended up next to the dildo store instead of at the hotel...never admitting mistakes, never ceding any ground - also perfectly emblematic of all of these right wing jagoffs.

His first request is to find an intern to tuck his shirt into his pants as he's prone, like the rest of the guys.

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago

Live look at diver involved in accident after realizing that Rudy lived.
