Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

The weak, old, confused, incompetent orange rapist, felon, pedophile, liar is elevating all likenesses of himself to positions of power and fame.

A medal for getting plowed from behind? I can think of a lot more deserving people with that qualification.

[–] glitch1985@lemmy.world 2 points 6 hours ago

It would cost a fortune to give one to every American.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.world 18 points 11 hours ago

He looks surprised that he’s still alive in every picture.

Assuming we have a non-fascist president after this, they should just retire this award. Whatever meaning it might have had at one time has been rendered a joke at this point (and not just because of Giuliani).

[–] Red0ctober@lemmy.world 65 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

It lost all meaning the moment Rush received it. Now, it's just a joke, as you've said

[–] Noturbuddy@lemmy.zip 19 points 14 hours ago

Hey Tom Sawyer is a classic masterpiece

[–] s@piefed.world 9 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

When we get there, can we introduce a Presidential Medal of Treason to nullify the mis-awarded Freedom ones?

[–] PwnTra1n@lemmy.world 1 points 10 hours ago

The ribbon is razor wire?

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 11 points 13 hours ago

Yeah, Rush got one. It's been forever soiled by that.

[–] AllNewTypeFace@leminal.space 11 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Or officially attach the name of the awarding president to each award, to disambiguate its value.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 9 points 13 hours ago

Or just revoke the ones done by Taco, since he's a felon.

[–] tidderuuf@lemmy.world 54 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

"He survived a car crash, someone give him a medal!" -Trump could be heard as he was sitting on the toilet.

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 25 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago)

He's also into underage girls. Maybe that's the real reason, for Epstein's best friend Trump.

[–] very_well_lost@lemmy.world 15 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Maybe he can sell it to pay down some of his massive, massive debts.

[–] Blackfeathr@lemmy.world 2 points 11 hours ago

And maybe some left over for that ceiling stain remover on his wishlist.

[–] BigMacHole@sopuli.xyz 26 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Let THAT be a Lesson to ANYONE who's Wanting to have SEX with someone they Think is a Child!

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 3 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

I think Roodles should lay down on a bed and adjust his zipper or whatever he claims he was doing while he gets the award.

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 21 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Of course. Giuliani is in the pedo club. There's no such thing as bad press.

Fuck all of these degenerates

[–] synae@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 7 hours ago

Giuliani is in the pedo club

Hey I saw that movie!

[–] DaddleDew@lemmy.world 21 points 15 hours ago

So the "medal of freedom" is a badge of shame. Got it.

The name is unbelievably cringe anyway.

[–] salacious_coaster@infosec.pub 12 points 15 hours ago

I was expecting the next one to go to the Late, Great Hannibal Lecter

[–] Archangel1313@lemmy.ca 14 points 15 hours ago

I bet Rudy would rather just be paid.

[–] Carvex@lemmy.world 8 points 14 hours ago

Is he going to award a medal to Arnold Palmers cock next?

[–] trougnouf@lemmy.world 6 points 14 hours ago (1 children)
[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 12 hours ago

He got rear-ended over the weekend? That's probably why this is happening, since Taco likely forgot all about him until then.

[–] don@lemmy.ca 5 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Well if the medal had any meaning before, it’s sure shit now.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 12 hours ago

Post-Rush, no, it has very little meaning. Also, anything associated with Taco turns to shit.

If there is some way we can revoke things he did, any honors he doled out inappropriately should just be rolled back later. That's assuming we still have a country after this dickhead is gone.

[–] chocrates@piefed.world 1 points 11 hours ago

Was Guliani rear-ended talking to a hooker?

[–] Bustedknuckles@lemmy.world 4 points 15 hours ago

Sure, why not
