What have they done with all the daylight they've been saving through Daylight Savings Time?

You know I learned recently that it’s impossible to be outside long enough in some areas of the world to get your daily dose of vitamin D? Areas not as remote as you’d think!

—oh, right, politics. Uh, yeah no, Love is more powerful than hate, but sometimes it takes tough love to really suffocate the hate, y’know? Really put that pillow over the face and just… don’t…

…Seattle, for example! Can’t get enough sun in Seattle!

Same in the Netherlands you need to take vitamin D tablets to survive the winter.

Seattle is at the same latitude as central France.

Europe has the gulf stream keeping it warmer, you can also compare latitudes of eastern Canadian parts that get -30°c in the winter and they're like the same latitude as Paris (which clearly doesn't get that cold).

I am familiar with the concept of climate. However, this is mainly about insolation.

Correct, but the weather is overcast enough to significantly reduce effective UV exposure. Thankfully most people get enough vitamin D from their diet that it's unlikely to cause serious health issues. Unless you're vegan. Vegetarians and pescatarians are fine though.
