Dark humor aside, the correct first response is generally just to let them know you are there and ready to support them however they need. Encourage them to seek help.

This said as someone who's tried twice. People just mouthing the fucking words "I'm here if you need" is what drove me to one attempt. Its a meaningless worth set of words that does nothing.
Its just further enforcing the fact no ones actually there to help and it's all just charades so people can feel better about themselves.

Plot twist, the tv is a cursed item that cause the owner to decide to kill themselves. If you can get someone to take it from you before dawn you no longer want to kill yourself. They have 24hrs.

You can save by buying bulk because you have the space/storage at home for it.
If you have the space for bulk, you probably also have the space for a big ass TV.
Makes zero sense for Costco to carry small TVs.
If you don't have space at home, you can't buy bulk, so there's no point having a Costco membership.

Had an expired card after a while, walked in and out of the food court with it all the time.
Idk, buying "in bulk" nowadays is just getting the bigger sizes you don't normally see at other stores. When I first heard about it, I was imagining you could buy pallets of stuff on the cheap, really it's more like you can get a double sized box of whatever (limit 4 per customer).
Somehow I feel like you would be thrown in jail if you did this.

because in the US you can't kill yourself. if you try and fail you'll be charged with a crime.

Fortunately, suicide by cop is a sure thing. Point a pencil in their direction and they'll empty a clip on you.
Their aim sucks though, so have fun recovering in the ER where they won't let you die.
Just don't attempt to assassinate the president. Or else you risk getting arrested and having your shirt taken off, it's all just a really uncomfortable interaction and not worth it.

If I'd take every "I'm gonna kill myself" post online serious, my life would be very very worrysome.
I would handle it this way. I was really selfish and could do things suddenly when I was younger. There are definitely certain things I'd want to get in order before doing it.
