It's like it's free advertising? 😅

[–] MithranArkanere@lemmy.world 14 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Imagine reading that and thinking they are bad ideas.

[–] TheStaffmaster@lemmy.world 2 points 8 hours ago

they are if you like hoarding literally ALL the money.

[–] architect@thelemmy.club 10 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Looks like they know their base is so stupid they can make them hate good things just by saying it’s left. They used to hide it better.

Also there’s the possibility it’s a plant and this is reverse psychology. I dont know this person and i trust no one now. They’ve done that enough times i wouldn’t be surprised.

[–] TheStaffmaster@lemmy.world 4 points 8 hours ago

that reminds me of that Obama Skit on Key and Peele where Obama just listed republican talking points and the republicans couldn't help but disagree with them because it was being proposed by a liberal.

[–] FlexibleToast@lemmy.world 8 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Oh shit. I'm in Wisconsin and didn't know who was running to replace Evers. I knew he was retiring. Thanks for this, now I know I'm voting for her.

[–] huppakee@lemmy.world 3 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

You sure about that? The rich will have to pay your childcare! Also, you'll earn at least $20 an hour. Also, your money can't go to overpriced food, because the state will own a place that sells food. On top of that, there won't be any datacenters, so you will be left with enough water, enough electricity and enough land! Doesn't it sound much nicer to have no taxes for the rich? Imagine what they can do with all the money they now don't have to spend on the other people in society. Imagine a world where they can "invest" all of their wealth. Doesn't that sound much better? Think mate!

[–] FlexibleToast@lemmy.world 1 points 6 hours ago

To be fair, Wisconsin doesn't really have an issue with water supply. We are right next to the largest bodies of fresh water on the planet.

Good policies, but see how Fox adds "far-left", "democrat" and "socialist", just to make them look bad to their oil & gas party viewers.

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 13 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Politician called "far-left".

Expectation: Installation of an egomaniac dictator, which will lead to cult of personality, crackdown on speech and expression based on said dictator's feelings, and installing loyalist to key positions.

Reality: Bare minimum policies.

[–] nullspace@lemmy.world 2 points 9 hours ago

Result: Hammered relentlessly by lefties until her opponent wins.

[–] thlibos@thelemmy.club 4 points 19 hours ago

I'd love it if she won. I can't think of a faster way to ensure that MAGA shitstain Tom Tiffany is the next governor of Wisconsin than for her to win the nomination, though. WI isn't California or New York, even if it is all bullshit there is just too much red meat for the MAGAt puppetmasters to seize upon to vilify her and whip the dullards up into a blood frenzy, even if it is in their own's heads.

Sums it up pretty well

[–] uriel238@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 1 day ago

They did this exact thing to AOC's Green New Deal when she introduced it, and I couldn't comprehend how people could read it as a bad thing (at least those who weren't top 1%ers wanting to evade taxes).

[–] Witchfire@lemmy.world 27 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Lol she reposted it herself on socials with no changes

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmings.world 8 points 16 hours ago

"Endorsed by Fox News!"

[–] tomiant@piefed.social 8 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Who looks at that and doesn't want that? The people who own FOX ok gotcha.

You know, this guy ^

[–] ShotDonkey@lemmy.world 16 points 1 day ago

Thanks for the advertisment, FOX News!

[–] GoofSchmoofer@lemmy.world 15 points 1 day ago (3 children)

"BUT how would be pay for all of that ???" Which, not surprisingly, doesn't ever get asked when the DOD's budget gets increased annually.

[–] VinegarChunks@lemmus.org 1 points 9 hours ago

How do we pay for an army of ICE goons ?

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmings.world 7 points 16 hours ago

Yeah, that used to work, until they learned to say "We'll just take it from the billionaires," and everyone said "Okay, that's perfectly acceptable."

Now all they can do is scream "SOCIALISM!" and people are starting to think THAT sounds pretty good, too.

They're losing their rhetorical weapons quickly, and that arsenal was pretty low to begin with.

[–] OldChicoAle@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Or some dumb cage that gets built behind the white house, which itself is a mess

[–] sturmblast@lemmy.world 34 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Radical left now just means "anybody"

[–] ShaggySnacks@lemmy.myserv.one 23 points 1 day ago (1 children)

When you are so far right, everyone is far left.

[–] infinitesunrise@slrpnk.net 14 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

That said, US politics is so bad that this platform is legitimately further left than like 95% of electeds. If this candidate is a Democrat it's likely that her own party will favor a candidate to her right in primary and if she beats them, possibly still not throw their weight behind her in the general.

Remember that the leader of the Democratic party is basically a domestic spokesperson for Israel and refuses to acknowledge support the most popular politician in his own party.

[–] Hadriscus@jlai.lu 36 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I'm not sure it's even possible to frame this list in a bad light? those are all unambiguously excellent things

[–] scutiger@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago (4 children)

$20 an hour minimum wage is garbage, it should be much higher.

[–] FlexibleToast@lemmy.world 3 points 16 hours ago

In Wisconsin it isn't. Sure you're not going to buy a house in Madison with it, but you'll be fine in most of the state.

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 1 points 19 hours ago

It still can be sold as a bad thing to those who think like iT's BetTEr tO hAvE a BaD jOB thAN NO jOb.

[–] orlyowl@piefed.ca 8 points 1 day ago

It's an excellent step up from 7.50 though.

Conservative voters have been trained to dislike things that are good for them. That's why many Republican controlled areas of this country are almost indistinguishable from 3rd world countries.

Fox tells them it's bad, they're brainwashed into thinking everything fox tells them is truth. A normal functioning brain would see how those policies would benefit society...

(Fox needs to have a disclaimer on all their bullshit that says they are legally required to say this is opinion and not news, as well as quoting their lawyer when he said something like "no one actually believes any of this")

I'm beginning to wonder if someone more left leaning has infiltrated fox. The boss say "put together a hit piece on the demonrat", "sure thing boss" says our mole, before turning over this graphic. To the boss it look great, surely no one could support this! To everyone less poisoned, it looks a lot more enticing.

Stop describing it as a "tax hike"... we want to restore fair taxation after decades of irresponsible tax breaks.

[–] FlexibleToast@lemmy.world 1 points 16 hours ago

That's Fox, they're their hardest to make it sound bad.

And literally none of that is far-left, of course

Never heard of Fransesca Hong before. Not sure what office she's running for, but I hope she wins!

[–] thethunderwolf@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

it says there, wisconsin governor

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 3 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

Welp. So it does.

Google: Can I have dimentia at age 42?

Totally missed that.

[–] Mesophar@pawb.social 2 points 16 hours ago

It's worse than we thought, they don't even remember their own user name...

It doesn't matter, The people who watch Focks Nooz wouldn't vote for a non-red candidate even if the red candidate said they will literally come and burn down your house if you vote for them.
