Don't be deluded that you're guaranteed, or even likely to be sucessful. That is arrogance. But there is value in trying to do the right thing, even when it seems hopeless.
Don't worry about what is unavoidable... it will always get you, eventually. The anticipation only makes it worse, and, paradoxically... makes it more inevitable, by wasting your energy that could be spent on doing instead be spent on worrying.

I mean I get you and have echoed the sentiment. Sometimes can't help but worry about our loved ones tho.
I understand, sometimes there are very natural reasons for concern, valid reasons, reasons that a clowny screed will likely not affect.
But the world seems awash in hopelessness and worry these days.
Succumbing totally to that... will make things worse. Ideally, all of that energy could be spent either actually trying to do something that is in some way useful... or at least not be expended on stressing yourself into an early grave.
I'm not really trying to demand people be a certain way, I'm just trying to echo the fatalism, but reorient it in a way that it might ... give people permission, so to speak, to try to exist in, think from a less taxing perspective.
One must imagine Sisyphus laughing hysterically, at least sometimes, for no immediately apparent reason.

Not slightly. We're already having problems with food and water in even "first world" countries... Just little hiccups before a true systematic failure
The disasters will get worse and way more common, but those aren't where the true horrors will be. It'll be the disease, conflict, and mass starvation
We could certainly overcome it. Humans are very adaptable... But it's already starting, and we aren't doing anything. We can't even organize enough to agree we should do anything at all to save ourselves
So things will get horrific. It could take billions of dead to figure out a new way to live at this rate. Every lesson will be learned though desperation. And then one day, we'd reach that new worse normal
But if we got our act together and started actually preparing, it wouldn't be bad. Scary and hard, but we'd get hope back. We'd regain connection to each other, and be united against an outside enemy. We'd share a dream of bringing the green back. We

Idk, gotta ask OP. But six years ago was 2020, a round year, another "warmest year since recording" that seems kinda chill from today's perspective. Though this is yet another made up explanation after the fact.

You're welcome to your opinions. I mean yeah it's definitely an idea and from a scientific mindset we can use it to make predictions and see if those predictions are accurate to see if the idea is accurately modeling reality or not. The amount of novel events seems doable to define and attempt a measurement so at least as a hypothesis I wouldn't say it's utterly unscientific.
It doesn't even pass the sniff test. And a YouTube video is not evidence. Before this is even entertained, there needs to be multiple replicatable experiments done independently. This is a quack on the internet.
I'm guessing you don't know the speaker. Saying something is BS just because it's on YouTube is interesting. What if it was a lecture by Terrence Tao on YouTube? Also just for argument sake, there's lots of ideas taken pretty seriously in physics that aren't directly testable, honestly border more on philosophy. Even simple things like what exactly is time, does all of spacetime exist at once as Einstein thought and so on.
Fun fact for people in europe: summer temperatures will probably only be affected by a few degrees celsius by the gulf stream collapsing and its actually only the winters that will get extremely cold. By extremely cold i mean like 15c for some places. So if you have -10 at winter now, when youre gonna be retired its gonna be -25.
