Imagine being such a loser that you brag about not pleasing your wife.

We're living in an era where it's becoming harder to distinguish between shitposting and actual shit someone said in most serious tone possible
What? This isn't lemmy shitpost. Unfortunately.
Exactly, this reads like one but it isn't.

What a fucking weirdo. Nobody should stop having sex with their wives because this guy thinks it's gay.
The man in this video is Josiah Moody, not Luke Moody. Luke Beasley is the person interviewing him. Moody appeared on Beasley's show The Grudge with his wife, Isabella, in December 2024.
That being said, the actual statement attributed to him is essentially accurate. Moody explicitly said that he does not value sex primarily for orgasm or pleasure, but for reproduction. He then argued that sex between a man and woman becomes "gay sex" when it is pursued for pleasure rather than reproduction. When asked about infertile people, he said he was "pro people committing to celibacy for the rest of their life."
And this is where the argument goes completely off the rails.
He is objectively wrong about what "gay sex" means. Gay sex means sexual activity between people of the same sex. That is literally what the word homosexual means. A man having sex with his wife is heterosexual sex regardless of whether they are trying to conceive, whether she has an orgasm, whether she is using birth control, or whether conception is biologically possible.
His argument does not actually redefine homosexuality. He is simply taking the word "gay," attaching an entirely unrelated criterion to it, which is whether sex is procreative, and then pretending that his personal definition supersedes the ordinary meaning of the word.
And the reproductive argument is equally absurd. Sex does not become non heterosexual because pregnancy does not occur. Most acts of heterosexual intercourse do not result in pregnancy. Ovulation only occurs during a limited portion of the menstrual cycle, contraception prevents pregnancy, infertility exists, menopause exists, and pregnancy itself is not guaranteed even when conception is biologically possible.
By his reasoning, a heterosexual married couple who has sex on a day when the woman is not fertile is having "gay sex." A couple using a condom is having "gay sex." A postmenopausal heterosexual couple is having "gay sex." A heterosexual couple who simply enjoys sex without attempting to conceive is having "gay sex."
That is not a controversial interpretation of heterosexuality. It is simply objectively nonsensical.
And frankly, the most ridiculous part is that he seems to believe that female sexual pleasure somehow makes heterosexual sex less heterosexual. A man having sex with his wife and giving her an orgasm is, by every conventional definition imaginable, heterosexual sex. There is absolutely nothing homosexual about it.
He is certainly entitled to believe that his own sex life should be exclusively reproductive. If he wants to have sex only when attempting to conceive, that is his business. But the moment he starts claiming that everyone else's heterosexual sex becomes homosexual because they are not trying to reproduce, he has left the realm of describing his personal values and entered the realm of making an objectively false claim about what words mean.
So yes, the meme is based on a real statement. The man's name is wrong, but the underlying stupidity is unfortunately genuine.
soooo...... fake and ~~gay~~ straight ?

What was that about Sharia law again ??
I thought it was Sangria law π·
I like how sometimes you have doubts that someone is a bit dumb, but then they speak and leave no doubt whatsoever.
I have to admit that I cringe a bit when (usually young) guys brag about how good they are at making women cum but they make way more sense than this guy.
thatβs not even his name and heβs trolling you
this post is rage bait
can we keep this trash on facebook
I don't think this guy and his wife are trolling when they said this and other wild things (though they do dabble with dark humor), they seem to sincerely believe this stuff. You're right about the name being wrong though, the names of the MAGA couple in this interview are Isabella and Josiah Moody, the guy doing the interview is Luke Beasley.
The name is wrong yes but he actually did say that crap and he does believe it to be true. The man is very unfortunate.
Wifey must go through a lot of batteries.
Sorry that's super gay too
Ew
This falls well within conservative Christian thinking. There is little to no requirement of pleasure during sex.
tfw your role model for peak masculinity is Ben Shabibo
TIL : I guess I am super gay then...
Sounds like he's not even attracted to women, only forces himself to have sex with one because he really really likes kids.
Dear boys,
Making yourself happy is making a guy happy and therefore gay.
Being mad. That's the straightest you can be.
Even gay means happy.
Don't be happy (gay), stay mad (straight).
Checkmate, atheists.
This is one of the gayest things I've ever read.
Dude lives full-time in Narnia.
