Ed is a musician. I would not expect perfect diplomacy from any musician. His job is to please his audience and I suspect he doesn’t quite know what that is politically. He appears to be caught between a rock and a hard place. I doubt he has any hard line political position and simply tries to balance demands from his fans and management while wishing he could just keep plucking strings.

But if someone says "Take my side or you're a murderer" they don't care about the kids, they just want to use their moral stance as an excuse for social dominance, which is why many people end up resisting "good causes" to defend themselves against the garbage energy that's hidden behind their "morally justified" anger.

In reality someone either has a sensible opinion or they don't, and you're not gonna pressure anyone into changing their mind with force anyway, so it's just a self-serving excuse to take your neuroticism out on other people.

It suck for Ed because probably HE just wanted to get cool musician in His tour, and having your friend Maclemore in it, was just that, He supporting His friend. But then Robert Kraft tells you to kick Maclemore or you can't play in his stadium, to me that fucker should be the one receiving more heat.

Could Ed say fuck you Robert Kraft!?, probably, but it's not that easy, a tour means a lot of jobs for a lot of people, and now He is the bad guy. I don't think that He had th eidea to make a tour to shine a light in society's problems, He just wanted to play music and get paid.
